Sure, if you want. Are you 21?

And why are you in Pensacola?
Yeah I'm 21. I'm going to a smash tournament on Saturday so I'm going to spend the night at my friend's dorm the day before.

Friday night is gallery night. It's a bit street fair with lots of drinking and music and more drinking.

Can nothing ever truly exist? On a scientific level this is a gray area.

Nope.

It is. Chesapeake Bay is close. It's really nice though.

Any word on where to live? I've heard avoid anywhere along the 64, and that Ghent is pretty decent.

No, but they're not exactly qualified investigative journalists.

I'm struggling to think of an example where a truth has impacted societal wellbeing. Information has no consequence; its individual interpretation may. One country discovers how to split an atom and they make a bomb -- another uses it to make cheap global electricity a reality. A devout Christian learns there is no god and has a crisis of identity -- an agnostic sees it as enlightenment.

Hypothetically if you had the ability to "release" the truth of some question into the world, your moral choice would involve predicting the global response and its consequences. I would say it's fairly naive to give a generalized answer to this question at all.

Norfolk fucking sucks dude!

Yeah I have to be there for a year regardless. Are you there now?

My brother was stationed there, he is in the Coast Guard. I visited a few times, it's pretty run down in Norfolk.

I've heard it's just one big ghetto.

Dark Souls. I picked it up on a sale one day, knowing nothing about it, and figured it wasn't for me when I got reckt by the asylum demon. Heard good things about it and a couple months later picked it up and tried to learn the mechanics. Now it's one of my favorite series.

Actually, instead of picking Security I'll pick Acrobat in its place and keep Armorer, because I'd rather just use the console to unlock a door/crate than spend time upgrading Security.

If you're going to use the console so extensively why even bother asking about your build?
I'm honestly not a fan of the grinding you have to do in RPG's to not be a weakling. But I'm not going to use it that much, otherwise it's no fun.

What do you think is the best birth sign?

I always went with The Tower because the 50pt lockpick spell is super useful, but if you're going to unlock with console commands then I like The Shadow. 60 seconds of invisibility is the best ability by far.
Yo you sound kinda salty about me using the console.

Nah it's fine, especially in Morrowind.

Magic is pretty much trash unless you're using it to glitch your stats higher. Stealth is pretty difficult despite Bethesda games usually making it easy mode. Honestly just look up which armors look cool to you and level that and long or short blade. I always liked full glass armor with the Umbra sword. Max acrobatics and athletics to run and jump better since there's not much fast-travel. Lockpick is essential, too. Tons of cool hidden stuff.

You need to level short or long blade immediately if you don't want a few hours of the shitty D20 swing-and-miss combat.
What about armorer? Or could I just use console commands to repair weapons?

Yeah armorer's important. I'm sure there's a console command for repair, though.

Scotch > Kentucky whiskey.

Yeah, but only a rich man gets drunk off scotch.

We rely so heavily these days on Supreme Court interpretation of the Constitution that they've effectively become an always-running constitutional convention of their own.
We've... always relied on the Supreme Court for the interpretation of the Constitution. That's their job.

That's the point. Codifying some of their landmark decisions as the law rather than an interpretation of existing edicts would be beneficial, especially given how politicized the Supreme Court is now.

3592
I think such a convention should be held regularly to address modernity and the changing political landscape. Every 25 years maybe. We rely so heavily these days on Supreme Court interpretation of the Constitution that they've effectively become an always-running constitutional convention of their own.

You work at Dutch Bro's now?

I don't know what that is...so no.

I'm going to be a call center tech. Fear my troubleshooting powers.
Dutch Bro's is a coffee place like Starbucks. I guess it's only a Northwest thing though.

They have them in AZ, and they're awesome. The 911 was a lifesaver in college.

What always gets me is how many people put in 50+, 100+, or even 200+ hours into these games and then a few years later say it's shallow and boring.

oh cool, you get to be like the AWACS in Ace Combat. That's gotta be more entertaining than like, just playing mailman in a c-12 or c-2.

Yeah, but my first choice was jets (Super Hornets or Growlers), so...Kinda blows. My buddy Jim Beam is cheering me up.

You're in the Navy, right?

I've always had a mild desire to be a warfare officer with the RN.

What's your role? What will your job entail?

Yeah. I honestly don't know much about Hawkeyes, but eventually I'll be a Combat Information Center Officer and mission commander for whatever carrier wing I'll be assigned to later down the road.

I graduated from my current program today and was assigned to the E-2C Hawkeye. It wasn't my first choice , but whatever. It's a pretty badass plane.

They're stationed out of Point Mugu, CA; Norfolk, VA; and Atsugi, Japan, which is what I'm hoping for.

Post about any other life changes you've got going on. I'm not sure if this fits in Serious, but I thought I'd share it with you all.

Quote
“Lastly, as we achieve full integration of the force … this is an opportunity to update the position titles and descriptions themselves to demonstrate through this language that women are included in these positions," Mabus wrote, according to sources who quoted directly from the letter. “Ensure they are gender-integrated as well, removing “man” from their titles, and provide a report to me as soon as is practicable and no later than April 1, 2016.”

[...]

Some hallowed titles like seaman could be tough to replace, but others could be swapped with gender neutral descriptors as the service has done before. In 2005, for example, officials changed personnelman, a rating where many women had served, to personnel specialist.

There are at least 20 job titles that include the word "man." Aviation has the most to review, with five of their 12 enlisted rating descriptions ending with “man.” Surface engineering includes eight.

“Simply removing 'man' and replacing it with technician or specialist works in many cases,” said the source familiar with the memo.

etc.

Insidious PC culture seeping into hallowed traditions, or a timely change to outdated customs? You decide.
