tbh if you're paying your marginal rate for your bracket you are probably missing some deductions or exemptions. Fire your tax guy.
But yeah, 25% doesn't sound too bad until you're effectively handing over 3 months of income to the government.

How could humans have evolved from homo erectus if gay people still exist?

So far I'm seriously lacking any decent-looking medium armor.

I'm really liking that there's not much for walkthroughs or wiki info yet. There's a special kind of despair you feel when you're stuck on something in the game and the wiki page is full of lorem ipsum.

Anyone know where to get Lightning Spear?
It's by a dead dragon on the tower above the swamp, opposite of where the stray demon is.

If you wanna get Sunlight medals quickly early on, the rotten tree boss seems to be a great place to do it
Deacons of the Deep is a really quick and easy fight, too.

Got summoned outside Old Demon King fog gate, the guy hadn't killed the worm or stopped the ballista yet so I was immediately attack by both, and was being ganked by two invaders. Just sat back and watched.

It came out on the same day as DkS3, so I haven't heard anything about it here. Did anyone pick it up? Is it good? Critical reviews are around 85% so far.

A net worth of over $1 million isn't really that much for a moderately successful person of his age.

I'm going to believe that the final boss is Spoiler the pseudo-reincarnation of all the previous Lords of Cinder + the Chosen Undead. The armor somewhat resembles the elite knight set (arguably the signature DS1 set) and it could have easily been cracked and burnt from the fire, shapen at the back to resemble a crown. Isn't that exactly what it is?
Yea but Spoiler The Chosen Undead was never stated to be a Lord of Cinder, I'm guessing the Link the Fire ending of DS1 changed that?
I think anyone that links the fire is a Lord of Cinder, so I assume the Chosen Undead counts.

The ending I picked was
Spoiler Usurp the fire. Prolonging the age of fire just seems like a way of trying to hold onto the past and not accept change. I felt like it would be beneifical to help usher in a new age.
Spoiler I haven't beaten it, but are the endings seriously just the same as in 1 & 2? That's how the lore in dark souls works
It wouldn't make sense if they made it different
Spoiler It was pretty heavily marketed as a conclusion to the series. I love the game, but it feels like a retread of Dark Souls 1 and the ending just solidifies that.
Spoiler its pretty well known that the series is just a big cycle
Spoiler Yeah, that's why it's disappointing that it was marketed as linking the fire for good and ending the undead curse. At the beginning of the game they flat out tell you that's why you're offering the souls of lords to the thrones.
It's not a conclusion, it's just the last game. When was it ever marketed as that
The entire series has been hinting at the end of the age of fire, and curing the undead curse. Miyazaki has said in several interviews that it's a conclusion to the Dark Souls plot. Returning the Lords of Cinder to their thrones is almost blatantly explained to stop the coming end of the age of fire. Spoiler There are apparently the standard fire/dark endings, and then two others which have significantly different ramifications for the lore, so while there isn't a canon ending, there are definitely more than the regular two choices for the cycle.

Who'da thunk that unions are run by third-party cronies and lawyers and rely on the subservience of the working class for leverage?

ugh I feel retarded after taking so long to find the third switch in the Cathedral of the Deep
How do you even get in? I've got the first bonfire, but the two doors on either side of the room are locked.

The tail is the only thing that bothers me.
Toho confirmed it's the largest incarnation of Godzilla to date.
I love the retro feel but goddamn that goji looks awful.
The tail's fine. At least it's moving, unlike the rest of him which looks like a desiccated corpse just sitting in the middle of a city.

"if you didn't have a purpose, if life didn't have a purpose, then what stops you from killing yourself?"
I don't get this statement. I mean, I get it, but I don't get the mindset it comes from. Is an externally defined value to your life tge sole reason you don't jump off a cliff?
This isn't a really Christian idea, kind of a general theist thing I guess? Not even a wise notion.
If life doesn't have an externally defined purpose, you can choose one, or none. Life or death becomes a matter of taste and desire. There's no more reason to kill yourself than not to kill yourself.
But then, if you don't believe in God, why would you even bow to something like reason? Fuck reason, do what you like.

This doesn't make any sense. Creatures can still feel pleasure and pain, regardless of a deity's existence. That inherently necessitates morality.
Only if morality is based on pleasure, which is arbitrary.

I've never actually seen any enemy glitch like that in any Souls game. Maybe stuck on a piece of the environment, but not blatantly glitching out like that. Neat find. Pseudo-spoilers/tips: Spoiler Right next to that glowing door in the forest (unlocked with the Crest of Artorias sold be Andre) there's an illusory wall with a bonfire behind it; just roll into or attack the wall. Also, beginners typically go from the first bell (where you are) to Blighttown, which you can get to by (location spoilers) Spoiler going through the Depths in Lower Undead Burg, near the Capra Demon

Black seperation crystal?
Idk if they made it possible through that.
Nvm, it was an NPC summon (YellowFinger Heysel). Went back and killed him. It's weird they don't put it on a timer or something, because I was through the entire swamp before I figured out where to find him.

Anyone know if you can kick invaders? Some guy invaded like 20 minutes ago and I'm 3 bonfires ahead of where I was, and I'd like to leave. I'd fight him, but I have no clue where he is.
