Fukoshima is the poster child of the nuclear power industry. It should be, but not for the reason she listed. Japan used shitty safeguards, and after the worst conceivable series of events hit the power plant, only six people died and there were effectively no other long-lasting consequences. Modern (American) plants are far more safe and robust. On the other hand, when an oil platform makes international news, an entire body of water becomes polluted, millions of animals are killed, and billions of dollars are devoted to fixing it. Nuclear is the most expensive. It only survives because our government is in bed with the industry This lady is out of her fucking mind. Nuclear is expensive because the government is bought out by oil companies that (understandably) fear nuclear power. Think it gets the same subsidies and incentives coal and oil companies get to operate in our borders? Fuck no.

Which planes did you get to pilot?
The only ones I flew here were cessnas (in the very beginning for basic flight stuff) and T-6B Texan II. I'm a naval flight officer, rather than a pilot (think Goose, not Maverick), so I spent the majority of my time in the aircraft navigating and talking on the radio rather than working the stick and throttle.
I see, do you know what kind of aircraft you'll be dealing with in the future?
Yeah, I'm assigned to the E-2 Hawkeye, controlling aircraft for air support, strikes, defense, etc.
In regard to your deployment do you know where?
Not yet, I'll find out in about a month though. Either Japan, Virginia, or California.

I knew you were doing something with the air force but always assumed it was something on the more theoretical physics side of things. Not bad. Navy, actually. My brother's hoping to get in the air force himself. He's been wanting to be a pilot all his life and is in the final step of the selection process for the F-whatevers. Sweep, best of luck to him. What was the worst experience you've had? It was an entirely academic setting, so nothing actually dangerous happened; they're really big on safety. The worst thing that happened was that I didn't get selected for the aircraft I wanted; anything else was just lots of studying or shitty scheduling. If you ever, hypothetically speaking, were flying over Japan with a nuke on board, would you agree that yelling "two bombs not enough" and dropping your payload is the only acceptable course of action?
Anything less would be unprofessional. What's your callsign?

Last event was yesterday, finished checking out today, and the graduation ceremony is in a couple weeks. In the meantime, I'm off to Orlando for 5 days.
Some of it sucked, most of it was a blast. It's the best worst thing to happen to me (flying wasn't even on my preference list when I got in, it's just what I was given). Next I'm off to Virginia for a year of aircraft-specific training and then a 3-year fleet tour (deployments).

I still have never been to Disney and I'm 24. I told my parents that if I cancelled it we have to go.
I think a vacation should be pretty low on your list of priorities at this point.

Yeah, he says that at the end of episode 3. The broken oath is probably the Umbers'. Either they're oathbreakers for siding against the Starks, or they're oathbreakers by duping Ramsay into believing they're sworn to him (fake wolf head and all), and will betray him in the near future, and the title is just foreshadowing.
