If there aren't at least two playable FemPOCs in the game, it's nothing but meninist trash.

Tbh this should be a wake-up call to go research your federal and state reps and vote wisely in November.

Who even gives a fuck about who "won" the debate? Both failed to coherently argue details of their policies, at best simply repeating the same bullet points we can read on their websites, and at worst resorting to schoolyard insults and bullying.

They shouldn't be debating policy anyway.

Can you clarify what you mean?

I mean that Presidential candidates shouldn't be debating policy, because they (arguably) have the least say in the creation of policy. Hell, I'd argue that SCOTUS's role is almost more direct.

If they want to discuss implementation of a policy, fine. But these details of what their policies would say and create - none of that matters because Congress isn't going to agree to 99.9% of what's been proposed.

Congressional lawmaking and a president's policies are distinct, though. Their policies encapsulate everything they intend to do in office; not debating those would leave very little to discuss.

Can you clarify what you mean? Arguing their platforms and proposed policies should be the primary purpose of a debate. Historically, presidential debates were day-long events wherein candidates are given over an hour to respond to questions and explain the complexities of their policies.

The community generally isn't that bad, but fucking hell there's a lot of toxicity and cancer here.

I actually just got an XBL suspension (supposedly) for telling someone to eat shit. I basically never trashtalk, but he was whining and yelling the entire match about how we sucked (he was actually pretty terrible and didn't cooperate at all), so I messaged him.

Not sure what happened though. I can still play and I didn't even notice the notification (sent 3 days ago) until now. It didn't even state how long the suspension was.

Both failed to coherently argue details of their policies, at best simply repeating the same bullet points we can read on their websites, and at worst resorting to schoolyard insults and bullying. They both come off as incompetent, arrogant, in denial of their faults, and without substance. Neither are policy experts, philosophers, or true representatives of the people. They're both failures in their individual fields despite going far, and they both piggybacked off others to get where they are. They're both old and out of touch; Hillary thinks cyberwarfare is the biggest military threat she'll face in office, and Trump thinks he knows how to tackle it because his ten year old son has a computer. Debates are meaningless exhibitions, giving candidates barely enough time to deliver an opening argument about a policy before completely changing subjects. They're debates in name alone, only slightly removed from reality television, and yet are considered the most important moments of an election. This election is already fucked, but Americans owe it to themselves to use the next four years to think long and hard about what democracy should mean going forward.

Did you even watch the episode? Are you even a Star Wars fan? It was amazing.

Boring action with zero consequences or tension
Convenient grey force master-ex machina right next to their new base
Emo Ezra
Chopper still exists
Just awful dialog

Yeah Thrawn is in it, but he does nothing a generic Rebels villain wouldn't do.

What the fuck kind of debate gives the respondents two minutes to reply?

The debates ought to be longer, more structured and more strictly moderated. I'd rather see Clinton and Trump talk for 5-10 minute on their plans for taxes/jobs/race relations or whatever and give them a few minutes to make any rebuttals they want to.

Agreed. Debates should basically be live, side-by-side speeches or interviews. The back and forth is terrible, particularly for Trump.

Trump won the first 30 minutes, but he can't even compete with Clinton on policy not involving trade. He takes bait far too quickly.

But do they really want to be in conflict with us though? Are they actively acting out against us?

Iran is a regional power in an unstable region with major rivals.

North Korea is the pimple on the ass of the world.

Iran absolutely does not want to be at war with America

They do, however, want to be able to threaten others with nuclear weapons themselves and via proxy terrorist organization.

She says Bush was making the talks on troops leaving Iraq. Wasn't one of Obama's biggest things in "08 was trying to get troops out?

Bush signed an agreement to begin withdrawal in 2009, completing in 2011. Obama certainly ran on that policy, and foolishly soaked up the credit for it. Now the power vacuum is largely placed on his shoulders for failing to recognize the issues early in his presidency and being complacent with the withdrawal from Iraq. That vacuum definitely didn't create ISIS, but it helped give them a foothold to grow stronger in Syria.
To be fair, Syria happening was out of left field, and in effect, ISIS.

For the public, yes. I'm sure Challenger and many others on here believe the U.S. was heavily involved in that and should have foreseen the destabilizing effects. I wouldn't judge on speculation, though.

tbh I think it's pretty admirable that Trump refuses to disclose his taxes. It's nobody's fucking business, and the tradition of doing so is such a garbage excuse for the humblebrag that is a candidate's tax return.
suck his dick a little bit more

thanks

I hate Trump. That doesn't mean I have to support some dumbass archaic institution that flies in the face of privacy rights our country is founded upon.

If you're running for Presidency, you lose the right to claim privacy on matters such as taxes and your health. Because assuming something is up, it can and will directly impact your ability to work.
They're audited by the IRS and other regulatory agencies. There's zero reason the general public needs that data. I don't think Clinton should release private medical data, either.
