I always thought there was an accuracy change when using the scope on precision weapons. Because your reticle stayed proportionate when zooming in. If it stayed the same, wouldn't you expect it to appear larger when scoped in to represent the true accuracy?

Never. Precision weapons were designed so that if you're in the correct range, it doesn't matter whether or not you're scoped in.

CE- Didn't matter [test it yourself, spread doesn't change at all]
2 w/TU- No spread
3- Didn't matter, but lead to the infamous H3 BR spread dilemma [range was too short, this meant that sometimes even with red reticule you would have shots running haywire]
Reach- Bloom, because I don't even know

Now that you mention it, this might be the case in H2A though. I haven't seen any tests on BR spread in that game, so I'm not the best judge. Regardless it's something that I hope will be removed from the game.

Right now it doesn't seem to have that much of an effect so I doubt it'll be anything as jarring as BR spread or DMR bloom on precision weapons... but, well, there it is.
It may have been that way in Halo CE, but that stopped in Halo 2.

What stopped in Halo 2? Halo 2 didn't have spread at all. And base, non TU Halo 2 works the same as Halo 3 [i.e. zooming in doesn't change accuracy].
*since Halo 2

The Halo 2 BR did have spread, it was just so minuscule you couldn't notice it unless you did a test standing still. The Carbine also had it.

I got to play a little of it through the Xbox Preview program. Its basically Halo 4 on steroids with a couple of small twists.
Doesn't have perks
doesn't have ordinance drops
doesn't have jetpack

It mainly comes down to ADS and sprint.  Everything else is fairly minor.
The "ADS" is literally a fancy animation for scoping in. It functions the exact same way.

This has been a thing in Halo games for years, and that's not going to make any difference at all.

You could increase precision of automatic weapons by zooming in the other Halo's?
I wasn't specifically referring to automatics.
Well it doesn't function the same.  It takes up more of your screen now, and allows precision weapons to be more accurate at medium range.

I meant automatic :/
Oh, well I guess that was more meant for Goji.

Anyway, yeah. The Silenced SMG always behaved that way in both iterations.

You see the kickback it has when using Smart Scope? That and in combination with de-scoping and literally no auto-aim past the AR's RRR, makes it so it's only viable at its intended range. I really didn't find it an issue at all. 90% of my AR kills during the preview Beta were by hip-fire.
My point about it was mainly addressing what I saw as potential problems without having played the beta in response to forgewolf saying it's worse than H4.
I see, I see. My misunderstanding.

What is there to do at Seattle other than check out the ruins of Bungie.
The ruins of Bungie are actually inhabited by a magic wizard referred to as Beamish, where he and his mystic army continue Bungie's forgotten work with dark magic.

I'm pretty sure that's not even possible, and that wouldn't even make any sense. They call it the Master Chief collection for a reason, it isn't meant to be every fucking Halo game together.

ODST remastered

Your argument is invalid
ODST is not being remastered. It's simply a 1080p 60fps port.

Actually, that was the original intent. Then they realized that they wouldn't be able to do that without having multiple discs, which defeated one of the design goals they came up with. So they narrowed it down to the Halo games that you played as the Master Chief since those were most relevant.

I've had MCC since Christmas. I've only ever found 1 Halo 2 match. -_- and you people said it was fixed.
Dunno who told you it was completely fixed.

Though I will say I've noticed a curious trend where the people who dislike 343i get the bad end of the stick for the MCC...
Aren't you in the UK?  From what I've read on waypoint, UK users seem to have the least issues.

I can confirm the servers are working fine. In fact, they'll be even better since I was actually a part of the stress test.
>It won't Reach beta all over again

Hopefully. Shouldn't be problem Halo isn't as big as it was back in May 2010, so we should be fine.

Why the fuck would they replace the SPNKR? I hope someone Pushes Bravo into a lake and drills a hole in Bonnie Ross' Cannoe
Neighter of them have anything to do with the decision. And despite how iconic the M41 SSR is, it's an absolute waste of resources and completely impracticable. Now, I'm not saying the old launcher was dumb, because it is iconic to the franchise, so I'm intrigued by the fact they went for a somewhat generic design. At least they Halo-fied it.

Anyway, so the shoulder mounted part of the M41, was the thing you wanted to keep. In Halo CE and Halo 2, the entirety of the two tubes was disposable. So when you were reloading the M41, you were pushing those two tubes off the launcher, and putting another set it. It's extremely impracticable. Then in Halo 3 and beyond, Bungie tried to make it more practical by only having the front half of the tubes be the disposable part. But still, it's wasteful and impracticable. So I do like this new design from a story POV because it's logical. Instead of disposing of the tube(s) you have this little cartridge with two rockets inside.

In the ideal scenario, they simply would have had a new variant of the M41 where the tubes were no longer disposable and you just had a cartridge. But then it begs the question of why you would need two tubes anymore...

Hmm...

Anyway, just sharing my thoughts on the matter.
Few things in the Halo universe are really practical in the first place, stop going into extravagant detail to make shitty excuses for getting rid of fan favorites.

Just saying, that kind of complaint is about as logical as the people who didn't want Halo 4 in the collection. More content is more content. If it's free, awesome, if not, then you don't have to buy it.

Just super saiyen.

Do you want them to bring in Certain Affinity and Ruffian Games to work on updates too then?
Well, they practically made the games, so eh.
343i stitched them together and created the experience. You really think outsourcing the updates to them is going to get the game fixed any sooner?

Turn off your connection. It's taking so long because it's downloading the 20 gig multiplayer update.
You can't play the game until you download the update so you might as well download it while you're installing it.
Isn't that update strictly multiplayer.
Nope you don't have access to the campaign either until you download parts of the update.
Damn. That's rough.

Yeeeaaah, I'd rather the online actually work before adding in more shit.
Porting ODST and creating Relic on H2A is not 343i's work.

They're giving ODST to the same company (probably) that did Halo 3, and Relic is made by Certain Affinity. The Matchmaking systems and such are being done by 343i's MCC team.

Quote
alo 3: ODST Campaign – Development has just started on the campaign for Halo 3: ODST, which will be available within Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and upgraded to 1080p resolution, running at 60fps. It will be available for free to anyone who has played Halo: The Master Chief Collection since launch (11.11.14) through today (12.19.14).* Thanks to our friends at Bungie for creating the original “Halo 3: ODST” campaign.
This is what 343i said about ODST coming to the collection. Nothing about it being remastered.

Why would they change the name of an already advanced city? Mombasa got changed because it's in a third world nation that got super-upgraded.
Actually it's because the city is just off the coast of Old Mombassa and serves the same, if not a more complex purpose than Old Mombassa.
