I was thinking it would have been two foot molds glued together.

That is quite the surprise...

As challenger said, our big toe would have been a thumb. But when our ancestors began to walk upright, the need for a second set of hands was gone, so our toes tunred into what they are today.

So everyone has their balls in a bunch over Johnson, Miranda, and Arbiter.

Here's what happened. Chief indeed reach Sol first. But when Truth found out about the Chief on the Keyship, he didn't want to bring the Covenant's greatest adversary right into the heart of his operations, so he held off on his approach of Earth to deal with the Chief.

During this time, Johnson, Miranda, and the Arbiter made it back to Earth.

During an explosion on the Keyship, Chief was thought to have been killed, so Truth ordered the Keyship to Earth. That's when he jumped ship.

Right now it looks like most of the appeal is in the namesake and flashing lights.

That makes a lot more sense. Though his appearance under the lake shows that he must have infiltrated a good portion of the ring. I would presume his lair was in the quraantine zone.
Yup. As Cortana says in Halo 2's High Charity:

"That creature beneath the Library, that Gravemind, used us. We were just a diversion."

Sidebar: Too bad I wasn't in to Halo 2 that much when Halo 4 was out. I see now how similar the Gravemind and Didact's introductions are. Almost comedic that everyone was bitching about where Cortana got "Didact" from, yet she did the exact same thing in 2004 with the Gravemind.

Really the only plot-hole left is how the Bomb got into the Ops Center in Crows Nest.

We can talk about pre-343i Halo 3 though.

I've never thought about that. Fucking lol.

Also, thought of one for H2; Gravy had access to I05's teleportation grid, why did he not just teleport a shit ton of flood past the quarantine zone?
Dunno. Maybe there's some type of failsafe that only allows a certain mass or volume through the grid at a given time.

The other thing to note is that clearly the Gravemind was able to get outside the Quarantine Zone (we see this on how he grabs Chief from the lake), but the interesting question would be why he had no motivation to do so.

I can theorize right now that maybe the Gravemind didn't want the Flood to consume the ring. If you think about it, no sentient life would land en mass on Delta Halo if the entire thing was Flood-ified. So he purposely limited the Flood to the Quarantine Zone until sufficient life with off-world transport presented itself. This seems to make sense, because once the Gravemind starts infesting High Charity, the Flood surges across Delta Halo and boarding hundreds of Covenant drop ships, forcing the Sangheili and Jiralhanae to form a temporary truce to cauterize Delta Halo.

The Beta is only open to members of the Xbox Preview Program, which is exactly why the program was created. To test unfinished software on the Xbox One.

Just curious. Would you guys be okay with 4 player splitscreen if it meant having shit-tier framerate and graphics when you do so?
This has always been the case with 4 player split screen
I don't recall this with Halo CE - 3, unless my memories are clouded.
I don't know about the other two but I know with CE it stayed the same. The frame rate might have dropped but the graphics were the same. I can see with the newer games doing it simply because of better graphics and more things to render. Halo 4 was already pushing the 360 due to the weapons having a shorter disappearing time.
>MFW people still believe the weapons disappearing was a mechanical necessity and not an intenional game design decision
So what reason did they have for the weapons disappearing that fast?
Think about it.

You've got cutsom loadouts. So a huge variety of base weapon ammo will be available. So you don't want that around too much otherwise you might as well give players infinite ammo. Then you've got Map Ordnance. So again, more standard weapons and even more power weapons. Then on top of that, you have Personal Ordnance. You don't want there to be an influx of power weapons. Having the old despawn time with Halo 4's gameplay would have lead to an overflow of weapons in each match.

I thought you were referring to campaign. The weapons despawn faster than they ever did in any of the previous Halo games, which might corroborate the whole "limit of the 360" thing.
For campaign, that would make sense. The other thing is that the Campaign and Multiplayer sandboxes are nearly identical. So an error may have been made in regards to that.

I've barely played it.

Oh well.
Same here. When it became opened to the preview members I played it and now I touched it for around three times. To me the gameplay is the best Halo wise so far but the 4V4 shit is just boring to me. I wished they also had a BTB playlist instead of it being a circle jerk for the MLG people.

You just described my thoughts perfectly. I haven't touched the game since playing one match of midshit- I mean regret.
The most I can handle now is one match. It just feels so damn boring since there's hardly anything to do. Most of the time I spend looking for someone and when I do find someone I end up getting double teamed or grenaded. Like I said this beta was nothing more of a test for the MLG people and nobody else. BTB should have also been in this to test out the vehicle combat.

I seem to remember that in Halo 4's hype train, we first got 4v4 footage around the same time as the Infinity commissioning video which showed us the Mammoth and the announcement of Valhalla and the Mantis all within the same fucking month. I really hope 343 doesn't start trying to beg for the tryhardy 'muh bee arr' audience and completely fuck over the BTB side. Right now, we haven't even had any hints about something cool like Invasion or Dominion, at least the former was in the actual beta. Y'know, with banshees and wraiths and fun shit. People can talk shit about everything else about reach as much as they like, but invasion on boneyard was some of the most fun I've had in halo mm.
Frankie confirmed that BTB is getting special treatment.

Less is more. MCC would be the shit if only contained Halo CE and Halo 2 classic.
This is probably the dumbest post I've read today.
No, Reach sucks along with Halo 4.
I really don't give a crap about that.

I've got an idea for you, how about you take your MCC disc, and start scratching it with a steak knife in quadrants I and IV. That way, Halo 3 and 4 won't be on the disc.
