Just because it's a wiki doesn't make it any good.
Halopedia is known for having things on there without any sources.
I'd strongly discourage the use of both wikis to learn the lore, but if you're going to do it, go with Halopedia. One of the members in the Halo Archive is Halopedia's admin.

I just love the amount of people that immediately rant about 343i and H5's plot without reading any o the comments noting that its a fanfic.
The tears are delicious.
It's a funny combination of delicious and depressing that the Halo community is this misguided.

It's a bit early, no? Halo 4's was sick but it came out a few weeks before the game was released.

This Josh Henderson guy stole the story from some guy who started writing it 9 years ago, and is now selling it illegally on Amazon without the authors permission, while breaking Microsoft's Terms of Use.
The blurb I posted isn't even accurate of the story. There's no Spartans in it according to the author.
There's a shit-ton of proof. Hell, all the proof there is is that it's not backed by Microsoft or 343i and is making money off of the brand name. I don't need to though. Knowledge of this book has spread far in the lore community. Including to the original author of the fan-fic. (Which is what someone did in the first place anyway, so no need to be an angry mob with pitchforks around the fire) I'm not angry about the book. I just think it's hilarious. Everyone else is angry because they think it's canon. (Which I have no idea how they thought that.)

People still play Reach. There were gamenights Saturday-Monday happening on B.net just this last week.
A humane flaw I have. One that I know about and a occasionally "let happen". Which is why I have given you the option to request edit of that post if you find it unsatisfactory.
I do that to reconcile the error I have made. So, do you want the post to be edited?
I don't really care, but out of principle I'd say don't erase things just because it was a mistake.
I'm not saying I'll erase it. What I mean is that if you have a problem with the generalization I made, I can specify the statement further.
By the way, have you noticed that we seem to have difficulty parsing each other's sentences and meanings?
Probably because I have a habit of sometimes sucking dick at wording things in a way that is understandable to other people.
A real shame. So much friction between us could be easily avoidable. Of course, I'm not putting the blame on you, I am also guilty of doing that.
