'dat aim acceleration and deadzone options

I missed that part. Are they fixing it?
You now can customize deadzones and the extremity of your aim acceleration.

They've confirmed Halo 5 currently sits at a 3 aim acceleration, but the Beta was at a 2.

Also, they're adding social playlists.

Let's also not forget the Daily REQ pack you get, 1 for winning Arena, 1 for winning Warzone.

« on: December 10, 2015, 02:08:06 PM »
I require context.
There's a Grunt who serves aboard the Shadow of Intent who is a tall ass mother. Like, taller than a human. His height goes up to an Elite's shoulders.

Being the only grunt on the Shadow of Intent (and a Grunt at that) made him a prime target to be discriminated against and picked on.

Well, that was until he started wrecking all the Elites during sparring sessions. No matter how hard the Elites tried to beat him, this Grunt was throwing some hard ass punches and knocking the Elites on their asses. Then there's the story of how he ran into a Spartan and managed to overwhelm him/her to the point of retreating.

This was enough for Rtas to promote him to squad leader of an Elite Ranger unit. When faced with difficult situations, Rtas asked this Grunt for advice. In combat, he was a total badass. He choked out a Brute, engaged a Prelate in CQC, and was the quickest to recover from getting some of his neurons destroyed by a long range Halo pulse.

This guy is a fucking legend.

Seriously.

I'm platinum mad at how shit the wraith is.
I have so many

And I haven't used them

You're not even missing anything dude. The wraith is basically a giant "highjack me" brick. I don't know what 343 did to the mortar, but it's so damn awkward to aim the arc now. The firing reticule is just dopey and the mortar itself travels about as far as a deflated balloon.

Which means in order to do any really good damage to people or actually land your hits, you need to get in close. Which, frankly, is a death sentence because

A) Vehicles are made of paper, so rather than use them like an engine of destruction you have to treat them like sniper rifles and stay at the back of the map

B) The wraith's mortar recharges slightly faster than a cellphone hooked up to a potato

C) Has wide highjack angles, terriblely slow mobility, and is limited only to front facing targets. Once again, the scorpion is better in every single respect.

Maybe the upgraded wraiths are better. But so far, the default standard is a laughable hunk of shit.
The Mortar has been changed to make it so the bolt arcs up above where your reticle is in attempt to make the bolt land where your reticle is.

Slow mobility? Do you even boost bro?

Anyway, gimme all yo Wraith cards. I last longer in them than I do a Scorpion.

May he give eternal wisdom to Rtas 'Vadum.
May he continue to outmatch Sangheili in hand to hand combat.
And may he forever reign in command of his squad of Elite Rangers.

Or, we can realize this content model was planned from the beginning and wasn't done to reach a Q4 release.

Scenario 1: What you're saying is false:

Then 343 rushed the game.

Scenario 2: What you're saying is true.

Then they are fucking idiots.
Yes, because in the real world there are only two possible scenarios and if people don't cater to your every need, they are idiots.

You're not seriously suggesting they thought releasing a game with less content than destiny at launch was a 10/10 idea?

When I buy a game, I expect a completed product at launch. Not six months later.
Maybe you should've done research into the game before you bought it then? Not my fault or concern you're assmad.

I guess it's my own fault for assuming 21 multiplayer maps means 21 individual maps. Or for thinking the game would have some incentive to play other than grinding for scout warthogs.
Well, yeah.

After Halo 4, everyone seemed to vow to never again buy into Halo blindly.

Well, here we are at Halo 5, and look what's happened.
Is this when I can finally say I told you so?
About what? I literally told people to not hype themselves up about Halo 5 before the game came out.

I never did that, though. After halo 4, I thought 343 were a good studio. But I guess schlerf leaving and a new attitude to make the game only ranked has made 343 very different from the people who made 4.
Throughout Halo 5's development in the past year, 343i's been continually stating that they never want Halo 4 to happen again.
Good for them, they made even worse decisions with Halo 5  : )
Yet you managed to make an equally bad decision by buying Halo 4 and then Halo 5.

Let the hate flow through you...
Oh my God

343 literally lied about the content in this game

Don't try to defend them. You can't. They're morons.
Thanks for the advice. I'll be sure to continually not defend them.

I mean Jeez as much of a disaster as the Master Chief Collection was at least they got the damn ranking system in terms of having competitive and social right in that game. What the hell made them them into such Nazis about ranks? When they added infection to MCC matchmaking they didn't rank it.
Because 343i has multiple dev teams, and COMPLETELY separate dev teams at 343i made the MCC and Halo 5.

The extent of Halo 5's content is pathetic. Everybody knows it. Stop trying to defend 343.

They bullshitted us by arguing that "Remixes" were total maps, and they had the fucking autism to say the same about Forge maps. They're stupid, stupid people.
Are you fucking retarded?

When have I defended the lack of content in the game? All I've been doing is seeing all of your logically fallacious "facts" of why the game is in the state it is and trying to correct that hate-blinded shit.

Everyone on this site gets triggered soooooo easily.

Dude, they implemented a "FInd a Player" function months ago so you can access the file share of anyone you want.

Which is still vastly subpar to the systems of old.
The File Browser system was mostly filled with shit content. If I wanted the good gametypes, I just searched for the player who had them through the File Browser, which is identical to what I'm doing when I use the Find a Player function.

Besides, Bungie Favorites > File Browser.

Bravo is always on /r/Halo, and he assures people that literally everything on that subreddit is read thoroughly, and they know what people are saying. I don't doubt that, because Bravo's a really good community manager, but I doubt 343 higher-ups actually listen to what he tells them.

"Okay Bravo, what's the feedback on the game?"

"Well, everyone says the core gameplay is really good. But they're disappointed with the lack of customs game options, gamemodes, map variety, and social playlists."

"Mmmm, okay. But we know better than them, so let's just keep doing what we're doing. We are the game designers, after all!"

"B-But the community says-"

"FUCK THE COMMUNITY. THE PEOPLE WANT REMIXES AND BREAKOUT."
Or, we can take the more logical route and realize these content updates have schedules that have been planned out, and they can't fuck over the schedules of nearly finished Content Updates to rush out what the community wants.

Or, 343 could have released a finished product in the first place with a substantial amount of content in it, rather than rushing it for muh Q4 release and then re-adding removed features (that should be standard) under the guise of free updates.
Or, we can realize this content model was planned from the beginning and wasn't done to reach a Q4 release.

I get that people are upset about specific custom games but I feel like a lot of people are underestimating the creativity of the halo community. I am sure there will be plenty of fun custom game types to go along with forge maps. What people should actually be worried about is a file sharing system. Forge maps and Custom games are wastes of time for a community if there is no good way to share them.

This,
The late ass file-share did nothing to help Halo 4 and MCC still doesnt fucking have one.
What kind of retarded shit is it to have to scroll through the fucking campaign leaderboards to find one person to find their fileshare.
How do you get something so perfect in Halo 3 and Reach and then butcher it so hard?
You're still scrolling through the Campaign leaderboards?

Dude, they implemented a "FInd a Player" function months ago so you can access the file share of anyone you want.
