Took a look. I can tell minor instances where the lighting's improved, but the main beef of the upgrade comes from the 1080p and 60fps.
Seeing the plasma bolts fly at you like that is very cool and nice, whereas before they were pretty much jumping through the air.
60fps looks great on Halo 3. Can't wait to see the infection process with two times the frames.
I was thinking about this earlier this morning...the final run on the Warthog is going to be even more intense with those large sections flying off at 60fps and explosions. Halo 3 still looks amazing to me...sans Hood's face.
=O That one part where the support tower falls over as your going off the jump and the panel flies within 10 feet of you is going to be incredible.

Such a tease having it already on my hard drive...since I have money to burn I'm getting a physical as well from Amazon with one day shipping, and I'm praying it will get to me early. If not, then I have the digital at midnight to play. Yes, I'm spoiled.
Or you could buy a $60 Xbox card and give it to me so I have the MCC. =3

Is it annoying? Yes Is it the end of the world? No.
I never said it's the end of the world, nor am I acting like it. If it was, I'd be making peace with everyone. Anyway, I'm an absolute fool. The leaks are fake. Team Beyond is screwing around.

Happens with every release. Those media people/ mediocre game reviewers/lets play-ers get it early. I feel your pain Mr. Admirals. Especially when the new lore related content is the cherry on top.
These can't be reviewers. I know them, they're popular members on Waypoint. Which is what twists the knife for me. These guys are supposed to be upstanding.
Are they monitors or something? Why do popular members of a crappy forum get MCC early?
Maybe they found a way to get past the preload block?
That's what I'm thinking. It looks like quite a few Team Beyond guys have the game early.

...whats to leak? There's no new content. it's not like the stories are different.
Spoiler Oh, I don't know, maybe that the final fracking cutscene of the game between Locke and the Arbiter is called "Precursor."
/rant
Cool, thanks for telling us.
Well, hey, apparently there's nothing to leak according to most in this thread. I'll put that in spoilers though...

Was that not in the original game?
Yeah, because Agent Locke was totally in Halo 2.
/assmad
Dude, chill. I haven't played those games in a LOONNG time.
I know, I know, I'm just ranting out the wazoo right now. Just disregard me being an asshole, and I apologize for treating you badly with that last statement.

Dunno, Bravo's being a sweet community manager though. He asked me to send him all the leaks I've seen.
You must be fun at parties.
No, not really. Last party I went to I was told that I'm ugly and creepy. FML. All I did was sit around. But right now I'm just pissed and everything I'm doing is from my emotional side which is a really stupid thing to do.

A documentary about a bunch of repackaged old Halo games. How splendid.
Yeah, ok.
You know I'm right.
About what? All you did was incorrectly state what the documentary was on and then state your opinion.
Not a single claim was made.
The fact that MCC is nothing but an HD rehash of the same old stuff isn't my opinion.
You never made that statement in this thread. And that statement is partially true. Bold = New MCC: Halo CEA Halo 2AHalo 3 Halo 4 Halo: NightfallHalo 5: Guardians BetaCampaign LeaderboardsThe other thing is that the appeal of the game to many isn't the fact it's 4 games they've already played, but 4 of their favorite games under a single main menu/MP lobby along with minor enhancements that do make the games play better. (Plus new story content.) I totally get why you're not interested in the game, those minor tweaks and additions won't do it for everyone, especially when you've already played the four games included for hundreds of hours. Hopefully that's clears some stuff up for you, especially since you seem at an utter loss for why people are interested in the game.

Actually, if you read the title and watched the video, it's a documentary on the phenomenon that was Halo 2 and the challenges 343i faced by modernizing Halo 2 without altering what made it great.

I never understood what the Gravemind actually is. Is he like that creature from the third Starship Troopers movie where part of him is above ground and the majority of his mass is below the surface?
What we see of the Gravemind is just a speaking/interaction organ. The true extent of him is most likely unseen and not of the physical reality. In Halo 3, the Gravemind essentially becomes High Charity.

I'll start buying AAA games again when devs learn to optimize their shit.
Deal with it :^)

Looks great, if a bit brown. I really liked how Coag was bright, green, and sunny.
Coag was anything but green...
Um...
Trees and grass everywhere except for the roads. Bloodline is basically all dirt.
=O That's so weird. I always remembered it more for its browns.

Hmm, I was hoping for it to be... bigger.
Dude, look at the Blur Cutscene screenshot, you can barely even see the Arbiter and Chief.
