The Gravemind is going to give a lot of newcomers nightmares.
Dude, I've been watching it all day, and people who don't even play Halo have been stopping to watch the horror show that is the H2A Gravemind.

Plus, it's extremely unnerving for me.
Eh, could be more unnerving.
For sure, but you have to respect how it originally was in Halo 2 Classic. The Graveminds described in the Forerunner saga are horrifying.

(I'm in love with the Gravemind.)

I had it first
So happy though that he finally lives up to being the leader of the most terrifying force in the galaxy.

I love how terrifying he looks, but I can't help but feel it's a bit goofy how the outer mouth just hangs there instead of moving like in the old cutscene.

Also, just realized the Needler still doesn't have a sensible reloading animation after all these years.  :(
Only part that hangs is the lower mouth flap tendrils. Otherwise it all moves with his mouth.

Speaking of which, I love what Blur did in response to the Graveminds random grunts and noises. Especially when he talks about the Chief.

"This one is machine and nerve. Grouargh"
*shiver-shake*

(I'm in love with the Gravemind.)

I guess the most common thing I fantasize about on a daily basis is my favorite Halo moments. I'm always playing them back in my head, slightly changing the inflection of the characters and trying out the roles of the characters myself.

And while I'm doing that I'm analyzing what they're saying. Doing this I realized that in the Gravemind cutscene, 2401 Penitent Tangent and the Prophet of Regret no longer have free will. They're basically his hand puppets.

"I have listened, through rock and metal and time, now I shall talk, and you shall listen."
*Gravemind proceeds to not talk*

...is it bad that I actually kind of want to play this?  I mean, it's better than Infinity Ward's crap which is actually the REAL recycled shit.  Treyarch (and now Sledgehammer it seems) actually try to make it an enjoyable game.

Although this is what Advanced Warfare really is

Love that movie so damn much. Every time I see one of Neil's films, I always think this is what the Halo movie could have been.

Bloody hell .-.

That's miles ahead of the Halo Wars cutscenes, I am very impressed.
I just realized that Blur has now animated two fights between a respected UNSC Sergeant and a Covenant Arbiter.

Wow that Gravemind level footage though <3

My favourite Halo level ever has gotten even sexier.
Seriously though, how this shit does a thresher maw look like the Gravemind? The only thing they have in common is that they look vaguely like giant worms.

Well shit, they managed to impress me. I was expecting 343i to fail at forge again after the abomination that was the Halo 4 forge.
>TFW people still don't understand Halo 4 failed in a lot of regards because lolMS forced 343i to make a full fledged Halo game without a complete dev team.

What? Halo 4 failed? News to me.
Muh diction; muh politician skills

(BTW, one of the maps I make will have a hidden button that will spawn in a giant Forge booty.)

It's just that "generating light" loading always annoys me.
Its either that, or your maps look like shit.

I'm getting chills right now. We just found mother nature's holy grail-key that unlocks our salvation. Imagine, if we didn't discover this for another 30 years, it might be extinct from deforestation.

;_;

Seriously though, what's taking so long? Let's put this baby to work!

Next thing you know, we'll be finding a fungi that feeds on radiation.

Is this a good or bad thing?
Depends how you want to look at it. shitposting can be really entertaining if you're not looking at it all day. At least for me.

I'm I the only one who really recognizes that the Flood was always about shitposting?

The only thing that made it different was that there were the masses before Bungie.next drove them away.

Gaming / Re: Halo: Broken Circle Excerpt
« on: October 27, 2014, 12:58:00 PM »
Well, evidently the Writ of Union wasn't as glamorous as the Prophets made it out to be. Which is funny considering Frankie says that the Prophets warp everything they touch. Either way, however it should have been in Anton's eyes, the Elites are indoctrinated and Broken Circle is showing how and why.

First impression I got from the first chapter is it being a xeno-dystopian novel.

Gaming / Re: Halo: Broken Circle Excerpt
« on: October 27, 2014, 11:22:56 AM »
You know Anton, his idea of modern Sangheili was that they were the equivalent of the Broken Circle Sangheili. So when Mortal Dictata came out, I noticed the Kig-Yar (on multiple occasions) noted that the Elites were indoctrinated by the Prophets.

Anton refuted that by saying they were exaggerating because they despised them.

But you know, it made sense to me. Because if you have a self sustaining civilization capable of great feats that in 3,000 years has trouble making barns, some really serious shit went down.

"The Elites are blind, Arbiter! But I will make them see."

Also, lol at Anton telling me the Kig-Yar were exaggerating when they said the Sangheili were indoctrinated in Mortal Dictata.
