I hate Locke's VA
You hate Mike Colter?
His voice acting, yes.
Why?
Because his voice doesn't fit well with his body motion and it just sounds like he's reading from a script and trying to get through it quickly.
1. He's body acting. 2. Maybe his character is trying to hurry this along so he can get what he needs, and get out?

That was an hour well spent. I truly think that 343 aren't going to fuck up anymore, there was something about the way they talked that wasn't there before they did Halo 4.
I CANT HOLD BACK THE TEARS
I swear to god... If you complain about 343i screwing up in the future, I'm going to remind you that you thought they could do no wrong because you watched an hour long pseudo-advertisement.

FYI, those are H2A Blur Sangheili models.
The Sangheili Major Locke is talking to in the beginning is wearing Covenant era Sangheili Combat Harnesses.

People telling me they don't like anthropology.
You an anthtropologist?
No, but it is undoubtedly one of the most important fields of study ever. It should be mandatory in every school, because the world would be a better place if everyone was taught the basics of anthropology.
Somewhere deep in the study of humanity is the keys to world peace and our salvation.
So when people tell me they don't like it, it bugs the hell out of me they don't understand the gravity of what they are being taught.
Plus, it's the study of humanity! How can you not like humanity?
Well, they did do those whole world wars and stuff
What? Anthropologists did not start or wage the World Wars...
No, but humanity did
I see. But you yourself are human. Do you not like yourself, or your existence? Besides, anthropology has the capability to stop war and conflict before they even occur.
A lot of humans are assholes, but guess what, we're all in the same boat, and this boat isn't going to make it ashore unless we all put in an effort to love one other for being kin. Disliking your own kin is perhaps one of the stupidest most detrimental things you could do.
I'm 'meh' about my existance...
But yeah, anthropology is important.
Think of your existence like this:
The odds of you existing is literally nearly 0. The amount of matter inanimate or unaware of its own existence is so vast (in fact, the majority of life on earth is incapable of defining or realizing its own existence) it's a miracle of probability itself that your matter came together to make you.
Not just that, but even more badass is that we're made up of millions of dead starts that exploded on death in such a fiery and powerful explosion, its guts were spread across the cosmos.
Allow me to add me cynicism.
I exist for an extremely, extremely short amount of time. In my life, I will cause little change in a very tiny minute little patch of a very tiny planet orbiting a very tiny star in a very big galaxy. I'm the equivalent of a monkey writing one of Shakespear's plays on a typewriter in less than half a second and then eating it, a midst a warehouse of trillions of writing monkey's. A very small, unspectacular, yet improbable event.
As for being made of exploding supernovae, well, so is my moldy sandwich, .and that dead rat across the road, and ebola, and Hitler. All dead stardust.
The glass is half empty for you then. But what's wrong with the moldy sandwich or dead rat? It's the process of life itself which is beautiful. The irony of human morality is that it goes against the very laws of life itself. Life is conflict. Now, as for you not accomplishing anything in your existence, are you not privileged to be around, to live, or to even witness the awesome things that other people do?

For me the greatest change to the website wasn't. The update itself, it was the mass exodus of users. In their place came the Desticles.

Did Guilty Spark appear again, or was hinted at?
He's not in the book. The book takes place in a few distinct years.
Mainly 850 BCE and 2552 CE.
That's good, I guess. I was really infuriated at his survival of the, practically, nuking of The Ark.
He honestly won't make another appearance until the end of the Reclaimer Saga/franchise.

Completely forgot about this book.
Worth buying? I enjoyed Greg Bear's books a hell of a lot. Traviss', not so much.
I'd recommend it. If you didn't like what Traviss did with the Sangheili, you'll like this book a lot. And it also helps explain why the Sangheili act the way they do in K5.

How much glorious pre-Covenant Sangheili society were we shown?
Quite a bit.
It's also rather nice, in the end, the Sangheili spirit was never broken by the Covenant as a small group of free Sangheili survived until 2553 before rejoining the modern Sangheili.
FUCK YEAH SON.
Knew they had something grand before the Covenant mulched it. Gonna read that shit up as soon as I can.
Two favorite parts of the book.
1. They go back to Janjur Qom, and classic San 'Shyuum culture is delved into.
2. In Halo 2 we heard about how the Elite High Council was slaughtered. What they neglected to tell us, is that it was this huge badass standoff between hundreds of Elites and Brutes in Delta Halo's control room.
The final battle was between this one Elite with dual energy swords going at this BAMF of a Brute with a hammer who was Tartarus' right hand man.
Colour me fucking impressed. A Halo novel I've actually wanted to read in a long while.
Also, Tartarus (and other Brutes) like this red drink that's so toxic, it will kill any other species that drinks it.
Well, the Moonbabies technically do have a slightly irridiated planet correct? The nuked themselves back to the stoneage. In a sense, Moonbabies are like the Krogan of the Haloverse.
Not just that but Doisac is host to large jungles. Chances are they have some exotic wildlife and plants. Evolution would make them immune to quite a bit there.
Doisac's a heavy G world. Can't picture Moonbabies swinging through trees. Volcanic plains too. It's gotta fucking suck to fall anywhere on that world.
Not saying they're swinging through trees, but it does have vast jungles.
