Permission to wat?
Their armor isn't Gen 2.
343 needs to learn how to model Gen 1 legs, because their take on everything knee down looks terrible.
Fun Fact: Gen 1 Leg armor sucks ass because it restricts your movement
>Restricts movement.
>Chief has no problem moving at anytime in Halo 2/3
Seems legit.
Bungie got around that by moving Chief's legs apart ridiculously far. He's got a HUGE-ass thigh gap. Not just that, the bypassed the restrictions by doing hand animations that don't adequately represent human movement. If you look at the Blur cut scenes, the proportions of the classic Mk. VI have been modified to make a human able to move better in it.

So, Songnam decided they'd make special customized Mk. VI armor variants for Linda, Fred, and Kelly in the short time between their arrival and the outbreak of the Battle of Earth? And Linda for some reason needed a suit with a shit-ton of useless optics on it?
I need to do some more research to see what armor they were wearing in that time-frame, but Mk. VI has been in development for a while at that point given how many variants existed in 2552.

Awww :(

Gonna watch it soon! My taste in modern blockbusters is usually off from like literally every person on the entire planet so...
it disappointed me about as much as gravity did (a lot). the plot didn't make much sense, the physics were COMPLETELY FUCKING WRONG, and the "professionals" that run the space program were incompetent and irrational idiots. also, it was 3 hours long.

2/10, would not recommend.
Damn, surprised the physics were wrong considering the film advanced the science behind black holes.

So they discovered Earth in 2551 and yet they wait until 2552 to invade Earth?

The fuck?
It took them a while to access the Luminary's information.

To the people who bought digital, there was a glitch for those who pre-ordered COD AW where when it unlocked, it would show it was trying to download again.  To fix this, you can hard reset and that has fixed it for most people.  So just as a heads up incase you encounter it, you don't have to redownload the 45GBs.
What's the difference between a hard and soft reset?

Well, 2 of them had some knowledge on the subject they were talking about and chose to write like they're actually being paid to do it professionally and that they care about their jobs. So, that's something.

I'm interested in what CGI seems so bad, and while it's not such a surprise that character development is difficult to pull off in 30 minutes, it might be of some concern. Sadly, the reviewers here seem like some disinterested teenagers that don't know anything about what's going on(It may be possible that they're unaware they're supposed to be journalists), and the couple that did only were allowed to write very brief, not detailed overlooks of the first episode.
That's the problem with these things. They're being reviewed like individual movies. When in reality, it's a movie sectioned off into 5 parts.

It looks like for some of the space suits, Ridley Scott just re-used the scientist suits from that abomination Prometheus.

Given how bad he's been lately, I don't know why Microsoft let Ridley Scott helm this.  Give it to fucking Neil Blomkamp for Christ sakes!

?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?

Neil Blomkamp says he'll never work with Microsoft ever again unless they pay him a literal fortune.

They keep changing size...

In four they were huge, now their spartan sized.

Wish they just kept with the halo reach build.
That must mean humans are all the same size too, huh?

True, but in four they were a good few feet taller than the chief. Same with reach and the three's. Locke seems to be a four, so they should dwarf him even more so.

I know it seems a bit pragmatic going on about trivial shit like this, but hey.
1. Elites on average range between 7'4"-8'6"

2. They are hunched over somewhat. In Halo 3, because the Elites were hunched over, they were about ~7'

3. In addition to their already fearsome height in Halo 4, they are also wearing "high-heels".

Suppose that's why I liked the halo 2 and reach elites a lot; they don't have that hunched over quasimodo look.

And holy shit, I never noticed that about the four elites. Whose idea was that?
Halo 2 Elites were hunched over.

As for the high heels, it was Bungie's idea. They're a carry over from Halo 3.

What do you expect him to be doing? They're in a dropship waiting to arrive at their destination.

His voice carries no emotion.
You don't hear the slight hostility and sarcasm? Or when he changes the tone of his voice to something of genuine curiosity when he asks about the Chief being called Demon?

He sounds like a dang power ranger.
1........1........7.
Really Locke? you can't jut say "117"?
1. You could at least provide a video to prove your point because I just looked up some power rangers and he sounds nothing remotely like them...

2. He's emphasizing the fact it's the Master Chief, the Big Kahuna, the diamond in the rough, etc.

Aesthetic reasons. He's wearing ceremonial armor.

Ah, old Halo 2 story boards. Back when Bungie didn't give a shit about what they showed of themselves.

Rookie > all

Rookie is a pretty cool guy eh? kills aliens and doesn't talk.
Isn't some bitch ass master chief that says he's quiet

Rookies secret weapon that is dangerous is his voice, one word and your dead, which would explain why he doesn't talk.
He did speak Huragok if you found all the Terminals.

Thel's helmet should of been like the one in the comics.

It was suggested on the Archives that his face armor can close up like is depicted in the comic.

Oh, didn't know that, *phew*
Not confirmed mind you.

Yeah, but I mean an ancestor descendant. The framework is the same, but the outcome is different.

If Bungie stuck to the original story, it would have been revealed that Chief's great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather fired Halo or something.

With 343i though, it's been altered. Now it's heavily suggested the Didact has an imprint of the IsoDidact in him.

As I said, warped or scrapped. Humans were supposed to be modern Forerunners under Bungie (until Halo 3's Terminals). So Master Chief was supposed to be the direct descendant, or a clone of the human who originally fired Halo.

Also, those pronunciations...

I am actually looking forward to Halo 5. After finding out that Master Chief has the conscious of a previous Forerunner who had activated the Halo array imprinted into his DNA made things seem much more interesting to me. Bungie actually had this entire story planned out from the beginning of Halo CE.

I agree. 343 really needs Marty so the music in the Halo series can get back to the level it once was. Halo 4 was not very good in terms of the soundtrack, in my opinion at least.
The only song I like from Halo 4's OST was 117. Every other song felt too generic and not memorable.
Nemesis, Aliens, Revival, Haven, Lasky's Theme, Solace, Awakening, Wreckage, Green and Blue, Sacrifice, This Armor.

Not a lot of other people like his voice acting either.
I skimmed a bit through the thread. Only issue I've seen is that they're complaining he sounds like an ordinary guy, which he does. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Seems to me that people don't like his voice out of "shock" because literally every character in Halo has a really distinct and awesome voice.
