From what I hear, 343 takes so long to come out with the gametypes because they've have a tough time with the engine, this includes Race in Halo 4.

343 said in their Sprint videos that they completely reworked the Halo 5 engine from the ground up due to it being on a new console. So, either they lied to the fanbase or they are so incompetent that they don't know how to use their own code that they wrote.

Proof of what? It's using common sense.

It's only cheating if you get caught. Other words, it's using your resources.

They're dragging this Jon Snow thing on too long, which is overly disappointing. Anyone else find it annoying when a show becomes self aware and structures it's plot to be like "FIND OUT NEXT WEEK, TUNE IN TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS"? It doesn't make the story flow well and really leaves a"meh" taste in my mouth. Movies too. The Force Awakens being a most recent example. Or the Walking Dead season finale. It hinders the story and audience viewing rather than enhance it. Plus HBO is a subscription channel, so it's not like they lose money if I decide not to tune in exactly at 9:00 PM because of last week's cliffhanger.

Nobody wants me anyway, I'm not that important to anyone.

So? People change. I imagine you're somewhere between an edgy 13 year old and a 26 year old basement dweller. You've got at least 60 years to change and try and do something worth of notice. Everyone in the world has done it, you're not a special snowflake exception. Go do something.

Pretty sure I was destined to be alone from the beginning.

Probably an angsty 17 year old then.

In this day and age its just hard to find a girl that's in tune with similar tastes and interest.

Try outside your high school/college classes. Online dating can work too. Go to the gym, or hang out in places you like and approach women there.

Everyone these days just loves to party and get drunk and that just isn't me fam. That just isn't me.

So don't look for companionship with the local degenerate niggers and spics that do that shit. Common sense fam.

But yeah, in this day and age, I feel like there is no right girl or ideal girl and that she just doesn't exist. :/

On my campus and at my old high school were nothing but a bunch of niggers, gooks, and spics that did drugs and shot at each other. The women consisted of antisocial shut-ins and your run of the mill mexican drug whores. Look outside the area or online date.

Most of those are new content? It's not like you can just reskin all the shit from past games idiot.
What was 343's reason for releasing Halo 5 which was cut up worse than a Michael Myers victim when Bungie manged to release Halo 3 on a new system without butchering it?  Even Halo 2 managed to launch with all the game types and playlists than Halo 5 despite how rushed it was.
It was never cut up, my god.
Then what's the appropriate word to use for the way it launched? 343 still had to cut the game into pieces for its launch and what is being released after.
Quote
Every game has a release schedule made by both the devs and publishers. So to account for the time they had, they put in all core features to keep a fun game for the time needed and added in the features they couldn't get in
Like I said above Bungie managed to launch Halo 2 with more playlists and game modes than Halo 5 despite the game being rushed. Since Halo 5 was not rushed then there's no good reason at all other than stupidity for the way it launched. It's pathetic that Halo 2 which basically got scrapped near launch ended up launching with more content than what Halo 5 did.
Quote
for launch for free.
It sure is nice of them to not charge us for content which has been included in the other games which they launched with.
Quote
There was never any cut content or features.
If there was never cut content then why was grifball recently added as a game type and we're soon to get the infection game type? I it wasn't cut then it would have been already in the game since release. For features we ended up getting forge some months after the game came out. We're hardly getting new content, we're getting content over a period of months which already has been made for previous Halo's.
Quote
The only thing that has come out about the game is that there might have been some major story changes late in the game.
Just like Halo 2 which had a far better launch content wise.
How about you show any proof for you claims, like, at all?
What do I need proof of to back up my claims?
That any content was cut from the game? The furthest you could go is Forge and even then it was told from before launch and given a date of release. Nothing was cut, because it wasn't fucking made you fucking idiot.

Maybe cut is the wrong wording then.

343 Industries launched a game that was missing key core gametypes and features unique and special to the Halo franchise. Instead of giving worthwhile DLC, they instead "sell" these key core gametypes and features to us as "Free DLC", instead of a normal DLC line we would see and expect from a regular Halo game. Instead of giving a full package that the fans expected up front, we are being given the game a piece at a time.

Does that make sense to you now?
In that case. REFER TO THE FIRST POINT I MADE ON THIS TOPIC =

Woah, calm down there bucko.

I don't get the "delay the game" argument with Halo 5. The game was finished. It had enough content to ship and all other content is being released for free over time. It was still gonna take the same amount of time to finish other content either way so why not just give the game to people anyway since it was ready? I really don't get how delaying a finished game would have changed anything. We get the same amount of content either way, but in this situation we get the content sooner rather than later.

Your first point is based upon the thought that if the game had been delayed that it still would've taken the same amount of time to develop the content. That is just blatantly false. The "DLC" we receive is not given to us as soon as it is finished. It is given out at certain periods of time to ensure that the game tries to keep a stable population, so they can milk those REQ packs as long as possible.

For example, the Halo CE pistol. We saw evidence of that as early as the first half of 2015, yet we didn't even receive the DLC "pack" it was in until February of 2016. That DLC pack contained grifball, a new map, a pelican in Forge, and weapon and armor skins. Using this data, we can assume that as of right now, 343 has all the DLC completed and is just testing between now and the set release date by Microsoft.

Unless 343 Industries are so incompetent that they require 9 months to develop 2 weapons from previous games, a pelican model, 1 map, and some skins, a delayed Halo 5 would've only set the game back to March of 2016. But, that's counting ALL content, while the only thing we're complaining about is content that was in previous Halo games, but not in this one.

So, if we're just talking about gametypes and Forge here, then the game would probably only need to be delayed until mid January at the ABSOLUTE LATEST. If this had happened, Halo 5 would be more in line with previous Halo games, have better player retention, have a larger custom game community, and just overall greater support for the game and not having the fans feel cheated or ripped off.

That would imply a level of competency they've already proven they don't have.

>Being this much in denial

We're not saying it's a bad game. In fact, Halo 5 is a very good game at its core. However, you can't deny that this game was rushed, low budget (the game had the same budget as Halo 4), and under delivered on launch, and has yet to deliver worth while content. Meanwhile, games that have been out for a less time than Halo 5 already have more content in them.

I can't wait for Halo Wars to have only one map and you have to buy each unit individually using REQ points.

Oh fuck. If they add a REQ system to Halo Wars, I might as well kill myself. Could you imagine the enemy rushing with special units because they unlocked it with their Gold™ REQ Packs™ Bundle™ they bought for the low price of $99.99?

Look at micro-center for some PCs. I got mine there for just $50 more than if I were to build it myself. They can have some really amazing deals. If you are hellbent on build a PC though, then I have a few tips.

- Get a GTX 970 graphics card. It's not as new, so it varies around $350-$600 at the most. It can run all modern games at 1080p 60 FPS. I can run Battlefront at 2K 60 FPS with it and GTA V at a stable 60 FPS.

- Go fans. Fans nowadays a very good and quiet, so they cool at the same amount as water cooling does. Plus, if someone bumps your case for some reason, there's no chance of a pump coming loose and destroying your PC.

- Get a big case with good venting. A big case allows for good air flow and doesn't have your wires all jammed in one area. Giving your components room to breathe allows for better performance.

- Clean your PC every 6 months. If you can put it together, I assume you can clean it. Fans are good, but they build up dust, just just keep it clean.

- Get at least 16 GB of RAM. You'll need it to keep up the next 3 years with gaming.

- Look at the sound card you have on your motherboard. 9/10 it is fine, but you may want to upgrade it if need be.

- i5 processor is enough, but if you want a bit faster computing, go with the i7.

- Get a 250 GB or so SSD in addition to whatever harddrive you buy. Put the operating system on the SSD. This will have your boot times be twice as fast.

Halo 3 had an incredibly strong population up until the end of 2009. After Mythic II it kind of went out fast, but that's because Reach was right around the corner and MW2 was selling more copies than the Bible. However I agree that 343 titles are pestering piles of dog trash and they don't even count as Halo games.

I love Reach, do not get me wrong, but I honestly feel Halo 3 had the most polished multiplayer experience. Reach being an extremely close second. Reach is still around because Halo 4 was absolute trash.

Halo 3's weakness was netcode. When it had a big population, there were enough middle man players to even out the lag from games, but as you said the population started to drop off in '09. Without the middle man, connection problems became very apparent and at some points just downright unplayable. I can't imagine what it is like now. If it had a stronger netcode and a slight better forge, it'd probably still have 20k players or so daily.

"Released for free overtime"

You know, when 343 said we'd get free DLC, I honestly thought they meant original quality content. Not ripping out old options that have been in Halo as early as Combat Evolved and as late as Halo 3 and "selling" it back to us as new content. Fuck me as a consumer, right?
>Ripping out options
>Ignoring all content they have added to the game
There is no point in trying to show a person who chooses to blindfold themselves the light. But hey have fun being an asshole for no reason other than to be an asshole :)

Yes, let us look at all the new content we have for us, shall we? I'll color code it too, to make it simple to understand.

Green = New and original content
Yellow = Content that was available at launch in previous Halo games
Orange = Map remixes (not original, but still new kind of)

**I am not counting weapons skins or armor, as this adds nothing new to the game itself**

Warzone Maps
Forge
Grifball
Forge Map remakes
Halo 5 Arena Map remixes
New Halo 5 Arena Maps
Theater (Theater was broken and took until mid Febuary to fix, 343 didn't talk about it and slipped it in with update patch notes)
File Share
Infection
Oddball
Assault
Snipers
Big Team Battle

Sorry to say, but there isn't much green there. And this is just what 343 has added to the game. This isn't even going into the limited custom game options, the rudimentary forging options, and all the gamemodes 343 has decided to leave out as of now.

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/new-halo-5-advanced-controller-settings-announced-/1100-6439128/

Now everyone who sold the game due to lack of content can come back since custom games will actually be viable now. Because, that's definitely gonna happen, right?

How do they honestly expect this game to last  by giving it so little to work with? Despite whether you like the game or not, Reach is still the most customizable Halo game to date, and because of which it still retains around 20k players daily almost 6 years after launch. Can't say the same for Halo 4 and definately not for 5 if things continue as they are. Hell, you can't even say that for Halo 2 or 3, as they dropped below 10k roughly 4 years after they launched.

I heard something interesting earlier. What if Snoke is a clone of Sheev? Like, they tried to clone Sheev like how they did in the retarded Dark Empire comics, and instead it came out a deformed monster, since you can't clone Jedi/Sith, due to  "muh force".
I too saw this thread on /co/.

...okay? So what?

Lol, some guy on another forum is convinced that the hooded figure in the room with the Emperor's Guard from the RO trailer is Garindan. For those who don't remember, that's this guy from ANH:

Stupidest thing I've heard in a while.

That would be hilarious. But realistically speaking, who would it be? The stuff hanging from the ceiling suggests this room to be a medical room of some sort. And who would be wearing a black hood and kneeling in front of Imperial Guards?

You're right, Star Wars hasn't focused on the  OT at all lately.
The OT era is the most interesting and the one that current media is most free to explore. Until Episode 9 is released we won't see much Sequel trilogy stuff outside of the films. And in regards to the prequel trilogy, we had a good decade or so when pretty much all we got was prequel era content.

I have no problems with the current emphasis on the OT, and I like that in the wake of the EU's end they're prioritizing the development of the OT era.

I have no issue with the focus on the OT, I was just pointing out your comment.

To me, The Prequels are more interesting in terms of extra media, like politics and coruscant, but that's been covered already in The Clone Wars.

Whatsup with the Halo community now? For some reason, everyone seems to cluster over at /r/halo on Reddit. And while that subreddit was decent 4 years ago, it's just filled with a bunch of competitive morons. You can't actually discuss anything Halo there anymore unless it directly relates to Warzone or a "sweet kill" in arena. Even a few months before Halo 5's release, every post there was about future games and the books, and the shows, and the story. Now it's nothing but multiplayer kills. So much for Halo being multi-media.

Just weird.
