The Flood / Re: Walmart changed our raises.
« on: June 02, 2015, 10:36:06 AM »
I mean I guess making $10 is better than $9.50

I'd advise job hunting unless you're a teenager or something. I got a 3% bonus on what I made from April 2014 till March 2015, on top of pay raises every 6 months, and another pay increase next year in June.

I'm already working on a transfer out of the state, and outside of big retail, fast food, forestry and the military,  there's not a lot of options for jobs that MIGHT get you over 28 hours a week.
Tech support for a company usually it 25-40 hours. It's basically customer service over the phone though. Just help people troubleshoot stuff.

Music's music, nothing weeb about it.

TK's vocals are unmatched

That is quite true. I just listen to a lot of pretty "Meh" Japanese rock bands but have been branching out trying to find good foreign music and have just hit a nice spot with some Japanese artists. Hence weeb mode.

I've been listening to Shugo Tokumaru and loving his music because it reminds me of The Beatles.

Hit me right in the nostalgia feels. What music instantly makes you want to watch a movie or play a game?

Okay guys I want to make it happen. These are most common MOBA F2P games so if you want to do a game night take your vote. The game night will be held on June 12 at 3PM EDT. Depending on how many show we may just mess around in customs or go into the casual modes and have fun.

Edit 1: So far League of Legends is winning but Dota 2 and HotS are close behind. This Sunday I'll go over the plan as to what we will be doing based on the polls!

Edit 2: Plan A is League of Legends on Friday at 5 and Dota 2/HotS on Saturday and Sunday respectively at the same time. Please post your info for Steam, League and then with Battle.net PM Me and I'll add you to my Friends List.

Edit 3: If you would rather just add me on Steam and Skype I'm available at Latsu and Latsu15 respectively.

Edit 4: Clarification. Friday the 12th at 5 ET is League of Legends, Saturday the 13th at 5ET is DOTA 2, and 5ET on Sunday the 14th is HotS.

Edit 5: No one has added me on Steam and I've only added 2 people on HotS

Im just extremely socially awkward and don't mesh well with people.

I changed jobs because I'll be making more with consistent hours.

I think I have made a mistake. I'm not great at tech support and just want to die because I remember why I left.  I'm getting paid hourly but still unsure of if I want to be a corporate goon.  I just hate capitalism and just wish I could go live in the wilderness and die in solitude.

The Flood / So I'm back to my old tech support when I wake up.
« on: May 18, 2015, 03:27:09 AM »
Fuck everything.  I hate doing this shit to just have a steady job I know I can do well. It's annoying to say the least to work over the phone technical support and do remote assistance. Especially for a 3rd party company whose sales team probably still is shit and can get sketchy at times.

Edit: Got out of the retail frying pan and into the oven of pain.

Shogun by James Clavell if you are slight weeb/interested in historical fiction based in Japan.

The Road by Cormac McCarthy is great read too.

Change the video card to Nvidia and you're golden.
Eh. Not really. It's really up to tastes. The R9 Cards are often cheaper and offer the same if not similar performance .

Edit: I'm seeing a lot of people saying here that Nvidia cards are always better. This is not always the case, and often as you increase the cost of your overall build AMD/R9 Cards often have the cheaper Price/Performance ratio.

148
If you're still here you may want to look into the GTX 960 and see if you can get on on sale. In some games it's better than the R9 280 and in some games it's the same or a tiny bit worse. It's up to tastes though.
Graphic cards, right?

Whoa, they're practically the same price. Why would I want to buy the GTX 960 over the R9 280 when both are better than the other at different things?

You said a tiny bit worse, but how much better would it be? Also, is it compatible with the other parts? I'm guessing that all graphic cards are compatible with every PC, but I have nothing to back this up.
If you can run a R9 280 you could run a GTX 960. Also the R9 285 is better than the R9 280 and the same price as the GTX 960 with similar performance.

PCPartPicker is a great resource because it tells you if the parts are compatible on the bottom of the parts list. It also tells you the estimated power usage.

The Build you have chosen looks pretty good but you need to know than an OS will run you a hefty chunk of cash unless you grab it from a grey market seller. Also buy things on sale if you can.

Reddit's Build A PC Sales has great listings on sales a lot of the time.

I'm assuming you used PCPP to get the list, you can share a list from there in a  more readable fashion if you grab the BB  markdown like so:
