Shiny Pokemon still have their meaning. They are rare Pokemon with minor color changes to their pallet. They are nice easter eggs and are still a commodity amount traders. Matsuda Method and other methods take hours and sometimes days to get even 1 Shiny Pokemon.
Shiny Charm is a decent motivator to complete the Pokedex and as such is a proper reward for collectors.

I just heard that from a couple people talking about games and other things. It more had to do with Bungie.net and a couple of other websites but I feel the same would apply to here by their standards. I don't feel the same but I know a lot of others feel that way.

The posters here are all elitists especially if you mention the flaws of a popular franchise *cough*Halo*cough* or even mention anything about PCs.
I don't feel this issue with users in the Flood subsection but in Gaming everyone seems like elitist assholes and no one wants to discuss games, but rather they want to say why their opinion about a game is the only correct one.
