Cool.

Can we have a snap election over here, too? Pretty please?

Quick question:

How many of you realized that in test of strength shrines, you can interrupt guardians' spinning charge with a bomb? I've seen numerous reviews and comments mentioning the use of pillars, but never anything about the bombs. That is the first thing I tried (early on I had a habit of kiting and bombing everything because my weapons broke so easily), and it wasn't until a couple tests of strength that I even realized there was a spinning charge, after I took to long too throw the bomb.
I think I might have done that once out of boredom, because I always try to fight those things in a different way every time, but I usually just let them slash the pillars.

Man, they really could've made those combat trials more interesting. If we couldn't have had a different or unique enemy to fight in each one, they could've at least made the terrains different. Maybe have us fight two or three at a time, even. Or just have less of them in general, because there's simply too many.

the fuck even is 'kino'
/tv/ meme that describes films that transcend art

there's a meme that separates movies into five categories

flicks (stupid movies for stupid people)
movies (watchable popcorn-tier schlock for normies)
films (intelligent or well-crafted movies for thinking persons)
cinema (artistic masterpieces)
kino (high art; transcending what was believed to be humanly achievable via film)

to piss people off, films such as star wars and lord of the rings are considered "flicks" whereas obscure 20-minute foreign films made in the 1930s are considered "absolute kinography"

I got it. FYI they just did a new one for the new SW trailer.

Maybe the "fun" excuse doesn't hold water, but the complaint that every Alien film has to be artsy and deep is a bit conceited.
what do you think of alien 3

and at the end of the day, movies are just supposed to be fun

I like how the usual retarded racial discourse pervades game discussion about fictional fantasy races. I think you people need to go outside.
or we're just pissing around for giggles and there's no reason to be so uptight about it

It's so awkward and strange; who makes "best friend" announcements, and makes edited images to go along with them?
i guess that's kinda funny

But

there is actual racism

in the game

and lore

Unless you're meaning something else entirely.

Grave of the Fireflies - I am so fucking bitter that, in my eight years of hating all Japanese media, not a single person has ever thought to recommend me this film. Not one. My stipulations have been made loud and clear, yet nobody has ever thought that I would enjoy this movie as much as I did. I had to go and find it all by myself in this sea of shit. Thanks, fuckheads. Either way, this is my new favorite anime, and the second anime that I've ever actually enjoyed. Given its setting and subject matter, it's honestly pretty hard to dislike. Don't think I'm a weeb just yet, though. For every anime I hate, I want to see at least one thing that I love. So far, we're pretty deep in the hole. That said, this movie was great, and it feels pretty liberating to say that. Don't count on it happening again, though. 8/10

I don't have a lot to say about the big four, unsurprisingly, so let me just get these out of the way:

Dragon Ball Z (Season 1) - 4/10

Bleach (stopped @ ep9) - 2/10

One Piece (stopped @ ep4) - 3/10

Naruto (Season 1) - Unfortunately, my favorite fight wasn't even in this season, so this was a complete and utter slog. I probably forgive this show the most when it comes to the big four, because it has a lot of things I kinda like--it has a sense of humor (albeit stupid and occasionally perverted), likable characters with a lot of color and personality, and an interesting setting. We all know what bogs it down, though, but I felt like giving it some credit either way. 4/10

I have Eva, Code Geass, Attack on Titan, and Death Note queued up next + any movies I can watch in between. I expect to have a lot more to say about all of these things, so no more blank ratings from now on.

Robin Finck is cool.

I don't know, I don't really care about guitarists. Technical skill doesn't interest me at all, if that's the criterion.

So "Antifa" is the new white nationalist term for people who oppose them? Good to know. I guess mud people and nigger lovers wasn't appropriate anymore.
No it's the name they use for themselves.

It's short for anti-fascists, idiot.
