I enjoy the fact that all the things I do in my free time are, if not totally productive, then not completely self-destructive.

Get out of the thread then.
It's funny, because when you quote me, I get notified, and end up coming back to a place I never would have. You're not real bright, are you?

Second ever adult rating in the history of gaming.
Think on that for a second.
False.

What am I supposed to be thinking about, anyway?

I don't really give a shit.

I really don't get what the big deal about this game is when you can do the same shit in GTA.
You CAN do the same shit in GTA--It's not the entire purpose of the game, though.

soulcalibur is horrible with that last bit

90% of the female cast in that game is sexualized (complete with breast physics) for the sole purpose of keeping perverted twelve-year-old males and lonely twenty-year-old males interested

but it does contain a rare male example of a character who uses sexual imagery in a creative, smart way--Voldo.
too bad they can't do that with any of the female characters.

LOOK! BOOBS! AREN'T YOU INTERESTED IN THIS GAME NOW!?
cunts

it should also be noted that i'm not just an uptight prude

there's nothing wrong with sex--there's just an overabundance of it in our culture, and it's used as a selling tactic far too often

despite its shallowness, it's often used as a substitute for any real substance your product might have

i'm perfectly capable of enjoying a female character without being reminded that she is indeed female (in the most jejune stereotypical way)

100% of the time, it's awkward and embarrassing to have to play as these characters with other people in the room.
that shouldn't be a thing

He doesn't support sexual lyrics explicit content at all. Be it male or female. In such a case that you just must have a game despite that, he would recommend you buy it preowned so that such content isn't rewarded. Most of the sexual content in Street Fighter 4 is DLC, which is 98% fanservice in the first place; either way, it's not in the vanilla game and so you can't judge it based on outside influences.
*sexually explicit content

Sexual lyrics are a-okay with me, as long as a substantive statement is being made ;)

But no, me saying "just buy it used" or answering "meh, go ahead" to the question of "would you approve of me pirating this game that you find reprehensible", that obviously just means that i want everyone to pirate everything and i want the industry to burn down if it doesn't support my agenda

Yeah. It helps to know what the fuck you're talking about before trying to argue something, huh.

I'm not a feminist as much as I'm an anti-sexist. An anti-exploitationist.

What about Poison? Being a trap and all?
Irrelevant, because that's not my point. I never said Street Fighter contains no sexualization--but it does contain great examples of female characters who aren't sexualized.

Again. Try to read into things.

Also, Makoto is in a schoolgirl outfit.
No, she isn't. One of her alternate costumes is, and it's still not revealing at all.

Edit: Verby supports piracy. Everyone pirate away!
yes, misrepresent the argument, that's always fair
Because the fighters in that game have breasts?
makoto from street fighter has breasts, too, but you wouldn't be able to tell right away because they aren't on prominent display

IMAGINE THAT

A FEMALE CHARACTER WHO ISN'T SEXUALIZED IN ANY WAY

I never said I'd support piracy in that post. I said I'd have "no qualms" with it. Not only that, I explicitly mentioned that I wouldn't do it myself. So... these are for you. They're not gonna help comprehension, but... I mean, it's something.

And what do you mean, "fuck over the creators"? What's this appeal to emotion garbage? Yes, if a creator's gonna spend his time making something as fucking deplorable as Skullgirls, then fuck them. You don't deserve support if what you created is abhorrent shit, and Skullgirls is a big heaping pile of abhorrent shit.
