you deserved your ban

i mean, don't get me wrong

if we're talking about recalcitrant rapists/murderers (repeat offenders), then fuck them
i have no qualms with seeing them bite the dust at the hands of the government

if you've proven yourself to be nothing but a blight to society, i see no reason to keep you around

but yeah, generally speaking, 99.99% of the time, killing sentients is wrong

Probably because some of the more argumentative users are offline, but oh well.
oh, yeah

expect this to turn into a fullblown shitstorm by noon

we should eat ironman in his sleep

but only after we euthanize him first
because that'll make it all okay

It's not petty if the desire keeps your body running at 100%. Protein is essential to the body, and there's a lot of that in meat.
sorry, but yeah, i do consider one's personal health to be a petty desire
killing another sentient for the sole purpose of personal gain represents a very large ethical transgression

protein is rich in many vegan-friendly sources
namely nuts, grains, and soy products

and now that we have vitamin b12 supplements, we simply don't need to eat meat anymore
so the only excuses anyone could possibly have left are either "i'm too addicted" or "i'm not strong enough"

humanely killed
i'd rather them not be killed at all

at least, not for the purposes of satiating my petty desires

What about those infertile eggs that local farmers sell? What's your opinion on those?
i mean, they're permissible, i guess

it's just not worth it to me
plus, i just don't trust anyone

Do you eat bread with eggs in it?

Or eggs at all? I haven't really seen anything too bad regarding eggs, in comparison to the meat stuff.
eggs are terrible, dude

i didnt say it was right
i never said you did
i was merely following up on it

i know you have a good head on your shoulders on that particular issue

i'm just saying, if that were the case, then yeah

its wrong

but sooooo tasty
which doesn't make it right

and if you can't see that, then yeah, i have no problem with describing us as enemies

it's not "just the internet" when we're dealing with such real shit

so...

everyone but snake
and meta

and anyone who agrees that we should stop

you don't have to be a vegan to recognize that killing animals for food is wrong

Really, any insult without an argument is ad hominem, which simply shouldn't have a place in debates.
well, it's not any insult

calling someone fat may be insulting, but it only becomes ad hominem when i say, "you're fat; therefore you have no say"

i'm sure you knew that, but i'm just gonna clarify that

I really don't see how that fits, either.

I wouldn't insult my "opposition".
i sure would

when it comes to veganism, for example, anyone who eats meat is my enemy
we are enemies

when we're dealing with something as serious and eminent as the welfare of sentient beings who are currently enduring a global holocaust, it kinda matters what your answer is to the question, "should this continue"

and if your answer is "yes", then on this philosophical issue, we're enemies
we're not gonna get along

I don't have "friends" on the internet. I have associates. You know, people I'm friendly with but don't know on a personal level.

Thus, with your statement, I don't have enemies...
okay, like i said, at least you're consistent

but i have a fundamental disagreement with this outlook

the word you guys are looking for is "opposition"

but there is still absolutely nothing wrong with "enemy"

The Flood / Re: Guess what came in the mail today.
« on: July 25, 2015, 02:10:12 AM »
Depends on what you mean.
the opposite of friend

again, if you're gonna act like you can't (or shouldn't) have enemies on the internet, then you shouldn't have friends over the internet, either

at least that would be consistent
silly, but consistent

if you can have friends on the internet, you can have enemies on the internet

i mean, this isn't terribly complicated

shouldn't be on the internet

argue with yourself in front of a mirror

about pineapples
that won't do, because if i argue with myself, there's no loser
if i debate with myself, i can't lose

there has to be a loser, so i can rub it in their face

people wonder why i get so heated during arguments--it's because the only one who actually argues is me

Well it is but I'm being funny to piss off Verb cause he hates my views :^)
I think his problem with you is that you don't justify your views. Just from what I've seen, at least.
but then he'll also whine about me not justifying my views, either

even though i do

every single time
