It's not a competition to him. Then your reasoning for your veganism is...Good thing I don't care about being morally superior, then.does a plant suffer? not in a traditional senseThere you go. I think he's a bullshit liar, but whatever. People have this innate desire of being better than one another, and though he may like to be the most Spockian vegan ever, and he may claim to be, I don't think he's capable of that. I, for one, embrace my desire to be better than the other guy--but at the same time, I recognize that I'm just being petty. 33969

Maybe plants don't feel pain.Doesn't matter at all. It has to suffer and feel pain for it to matter. It HAS to. You've probably seen me espouse my belief that all value is derived from our sensate experience, and our capacity to suffer. Just because plants die doesn't mean they're suffering--and if they're not suffering, there's no real issue. There's no negative sensation being endured. 33971

ugh
one of these fuckers had an aron who is immune to poison and quad-resistant to normal (my only two attacking types) that fucking sucked i think May is next--she's gonna fuck me up, so i think this is the end of the road gotta fight brawly soon 33981
Gaming / Re: Nuzlocke thread« on: July 31, 2015, 11:25:17 PM »Are you playing on a handheld or are you emulating? Cuz I'm surprised you're not taking advantage of the fast forward abilities of an emulator.>emulator fast forwarding is super lame because you could literally just grind until you're level 100 in like, a couple hours you don't HAVE to, of course, but like if you're gonna fast forward at all, you might as well just do that 33982
Gaming / Re: Nuzlocke thread« on: July 31, 2015, 11:06:28 PM »
Decided to see just how far I can progress in the game without fighting Brawly. I shooed off Team Magma, and now I'm heading north.
Squilliam and Thundina are now level 16, and while they're a lot stronger now, there's still a few persisting problems. Squilliam is specially defensive, not physically defensive--as a result, she still takes Karate Chops and Low Kicks from Machop like a bitch--especially if they're crits. Keep in mind that she's supposed to be resistant to Fighting-type moves. Her main strategy is based on the coin-flip move Supersonic, and then poisoning with Poison Sting. Constrict, of course, is absolutely useless. I'll need to bring her up to at least level 18 before I'm confident with her. Thundina--it's been four levels, and she still has not learned a single Electric-type move. I ended up giving her a Silk Scarf to help power up her only attacking move--Tackle, and it's still very weak. Howl helps, but it takes a bunch of them for the boosts to make any real difference. Her most powerful move is Thunder Wave. As for my three Magikarp, Pineapples and Ol'Greg are now level 15--the point at which Magikarp learns Tackle <_< They're five levels away from becoming Gyarados, which is good. I just now gave Azathoth the Exp. Share. Hopefully exploring further beyond Slateport will not only help level up all these guys without having to grind in the same boring spot--I'll also be able to catch even more potential killers. 33983

I just remembered that I have access to the experience share now. That's gonna help immensely with training all these Magikarp.
