Of course, I would still prefer a 3DS and I appreciate the advice you've given, but I just couldn't pass up on this. I don't feel like spending all that much on this as there's not really many other games I care about, and this was a console that does it all + one of the 2 games that I want for not even half of what even the oldest and smallest 3DS + a game would cost me. It may look silly and like a kid's toy and it might not fold and shut, but I still think it's a good deal for my situation.
And not a fan of the living dex idea?
I guess I just don't see the point in the living dex thing. Once you've had a Charmander grow and become a Charizard, I can't really see myself ever wanting a Charmander and a Charmeleon again. Is it to just make your collection seem more complete? I mean, have at it, but it just seems like a lot of extra effort. There are over 700 of these things now, remember.

I'm in Britain, so it uses 3+, 7+, 12+, 16+ and 18+. Halo is a 16 but modern warfare shooters are rated 18 here.
But it's science fiction. The halo games have never been gritty like CoD, Battlefield or Gears. They've always been rather tame, for a modern shooter. I mean, if a few red pixels is what should classify making games only accessible to late-teens, I guess every film where a character has a nosebleed or cuts his leg should be as well.
The conversation isn't about making things "only accessible" to late-teens, but whatever. I've stated numerous times that I have no interest in preventing anyone from anything--except for my own kids, if I deem it necessary. Anyway, you're being intentionally obtuse here. You fail to account for the fact that there's a difference between a common nosebleed or a small laceration and painting the walls after getting shot. It's kinda in its own category of violence. I will say that Halo reaches, in my mind, the bare minimum of arbitrary requirements to achieve the M-rating. It's not the most M-worthy game in the pantheon of M-rated games, but in my mind, it's a far better candidate for the M than any counterexamples any of you have come up with so far. Metroid and Battlefront? Please.

There was a swear in the initial release of prime 3 that got censored out in the Trillogy version. Well, there you go, it got censored out of the Trilogy version. And it was one swear, right? They probably didn't catch it at first, and definitely would have censored it initially if they did. Meanwhile, Halo has cursing all over the place. I mean, it's no GTA, and I don't think they ever say fuck, but still. And literaly not a single gun from Halo is real, or even behaves realistically. Go to any gun store and ask for an MA37 and see how fast they scratch their heads or laugh at you Pistols and shotguns and snipers are very real. They all fire lead bullets at high velocity. Shotguns in particular behave as realistically as they ought to. And you must not have read the lore entries in Prime 2, because that gets pretty damn dark, like a woman letting both herself and her own child STARVE TO DEATH out of dedication to their fight., not to mention these lore entries are found ON THE CORPSES lying all around the planet in plain sight. I haven't played all of the Prime 2, to be honest, but here's the thing--the folks at ESRB just play the games. They aren't given every single one of the game's assets so that they can all be weighed individually--and that includes any in-game text. They're pretty thorough, but they're gonna miss some stuff. Like, in Klonoa 2, there's a part where a character uses the word "damn"--twice, and nowhere is this mentioned on the back of the box. BUT, it's also towards the very end of the game, so... It's easy to contrive that they just missed it. And that was probably the case here. Not to mention, actual imagery is a lot more powerful and M-worthy than just lore text. It's more viscerally scary to witness scary shit than to hear about scary shit. So I I'm just saying--given the choice between having my kid play Metroid Prime and having them play Halo? I'm gonna let them play Metroid Prime. it helps that metroid prime is the better game overall what you speak is hersey and of we count that Other game then you are plain wrong...but let's not get into that.
I'm just saaaaaaaying Nintendo makes kids game. They're kinda known for that. I don't really include Other M, because everything about that game was wrong anyway.
