The Flood / Re: What Was The First Forum You Participated In?
« on: August 15, 2015, 01:54:06 PM »
I didn't use the forum as much as I used its Xat chat room, which was located under the forum posts. The people there were okay, I guess, even though most of them (including myself) were just a bunch of middle schoolers. There was a lot of "XD"ing involved. My grammar has never been worse during those times.

Some of the mods, however, I ended up befriending--and I still chat with them to this day.

It was different in the sense that everything was new. There was no such thing as an "internet meme" in those days.
Jokes were original, and users had... personalities.

It was... actually kinda nice, in that respect. Aw, now I'm getting all nostalgic.

TL;DR
I joined a Super Smash Bros. fan forum that was developing its own Smash-based flash game in 2008.

People sure love Hot Fuzz a lot.

Anyway, in the Gift, without spoiling too much, there's a scene where the room number is 237--a clear homage to the Shining.

The Scarface game was apparently pretty good, too, except Scarface was originally a 1929 novel by Armitage Trail.

Lord of the ring: return of the king was a fun game

That one spongebob game

Eragon was fun
One is a book, one is a TV show, and the other is a book.

so according to the OP, those don't count

Is there a reason this fucking retard keeps opening the menu? Holy shit.

Does he have Down syndrome? How can he a day and 14 hours logged and still be at the tutorial?
are you actually not understanding what's happening, or

it's a "twitch plays" stream
no one guy is playing it--the stream is playing it

inputs are entered into the chat by people watching the stream

the first game to implement the idea was pokémon, and it became super popular (because it turned beating a relatively simple game into a huge ordeal), and they actually managed to beat it--and after that, all sorts of weird shit was tried out

Batman: Arkham Knight was never a movie, though. Spider-man 2 was, but they're both still licensed games.

I mean, if you're looking for a good game based on an IP that originated on the big screen, then... I don't think there are any.

Of all the impossible things I've ever heard of, this is definitely the least possible.
There was "Fish plays Pokémon"...

The only unfortunate thing about there being an Incredibles 2 is that Syndrome won't be in it.

People who complain about "literally" being misused need to learn the definition of "hyperbole."

Anyway, I hate triple compounds.
Like "notwithstanding," "heretofore," and "insofar."

Some are acceptable, like "whatsoever" and "nevertheless".

I honestly just think it was because no one gave a fuck. This isn't gonna solve much, really.

I was also under the impression that you could leave work to vote... I guess that doesn't apply for midterm elections.

i never even said that i disliked it--it just doesn't seem like a game you'd like, considering the comparisons i can draw to games like hatred--a game that you've mocked before, yes? so it makes me wonder why you like prototype

but i mean, i don't even care anymore, if you're just gonna be a prick

It beats wasting money on Pokemon every time a new 'generation' comes out. It also beats spending every waking moment being a shithead on the internet, so it might be in your interest to try it sometime.

how does one "adore" a game like prototype

the game is basically hatred, if the hatred guy had superpowers

The Flood / Re: Posters Of Upcoming Pixar Films Allegedly

i didn't say that

no it didn't
it was one of their weakest movies, sure, but it wasn't bad
that's basically what you were saying though
my point was, no one was just begging to see a movie about talking cars--it's... just kinda lame

it sounds like a parody of pixar, if you ask me

but maybe i'm biased because by the time i saw that movie, i was going through my "cartoons are for babies" phase
