sorry, rushing doesn't help
*ahem*
Are the people here (and other places) who have social anxiety, really trying to make the the normal people seem bad/wrong? People who can look people in the eye and try to tell people they should?
Then I said it isn't a surprise to me that people (tumblr fags) would try and do something like that.
That talking post above me summarized it perfectly.
oh okay I mean, I wouldn't say that that's what they're trying to do, necessarily--really, they're expressing the same sentiment you are, in reverse "Are the people here (and other places) who are normal, really trying to make the ones with social anxiety seem bad/wrong?" Like, there's nothing inherently wrong with not looking someone in the eyes, apart from it being "weird". But since it does make some people uncomfortable, it can be frustrating for the socially anxious when the normal people are... obtuse about it. You dig?

well, if one's autism is preventing one from doing something, or otherwise inhibiting it in some fashion, then... yeah, that's a bad thing

Are people who have social issues really trying to twist it into others who promote the normal thing being the wrong ones? uh rephrase that

You stay quiet, you're a weirdo asshole.
Talk and you're an offensive asshole. I've written a short story that's loosely based on a similar phenomenon that I've been meaning to share. Thing it's, it's deeply personal (and dark), and I've only shared it with one other person here. Knowing that someone else can relate with that feeling, however, makes it easier for me. Maybe some day I'll make a thread and pack it in with a bunch of other shit I've written. Because I'm getting sick of being like, "I wrote about this once, and I'd share it, but x."

Is it fabrication if it's part of a diagnosed mental disorder? And even if not, why does fabrication matter if they actually internalize different sets of sentiments? At that point is it fabrication still? Do you mean the process of uncovering their "true self" would be exhausting?
who's talking about mental disorders i'm just talking about someone who just lied about their whole life on the internet--not because they're sick, but because they just... wanted to, "for the lulz" finding that person's true self would be exhausting, yes

everyone knows video games cause aggression--that's what competition breeds it's not really a controversial proposition
does that mean, however, that video games should be treated as a catalyst for violent crime?
FUCK no

you could never again tell whether what they say is true or not.
What if it was true in the context of that persona, but non-applicable in another?
it wouldn't be worth even... pondering like, i wouldn't want to associate with someone who has fabricated so much of him or her self even if you got to their core, it would just be exhausting

I've had it happen before. Some guy liked a bunch of pornstars' FB pages, and his mother commented, "ANDREW!!!!" (his name wasn't Andrew). Then he commented, "Sorry mom". Then some other punk was like, "hahaa atta boy andrew". It was funny.

I'm sure if there was a three-character word for Western animation in Japan, they'd use it.

Wouldn't care. It's your own time to waste, after all. I'd honestly be kind of relieved about some of your beliefs (and I don't mean that as a backhanded insult).
which ones

In Japan all animation is considered anime, even western cartoons. It's not that Western animation is "considered" anime in Japan. That's just the only word they have to describe it with, unless they specified. The way you phrased it makes it sound like Japanese people consider everything Japanese.

if one day, i was like, "hey guys, i was just trolling the entire time--i'm actually a huge otaku, and my favorite anime are bleach, death note, jojo's bizarre adventure, and kill la kill. i don't really hate anime at all. i also love halo, star wars, and basically everything i've ever denounced. i was trolling about all of that. oh, also, i'm actually not a vegan at all--i don't give a fuck about animal abuse (because they're just animals, right?) and i eat meat every single day of my life. i think feminism is stupid, because women already have equal rights in america, so it's pointless to be a feminist. i'm also not an anti-natalist. i think people should have as many kids as they want, and i most certainly don't want the human race to go extinct. life is too cool--i wouldn't want anyone to be prevented from being born, which is why i'm also vehemently against abortion, because that's god's way. oh, yes, i believe in god, now. nine inch nails is my least favorite band, and i merely did that to look cool and edgy. my name isn't actually jacob potila and that guy that i keep posting a picture of isn't actually me. i built the verbatim persona from the ground up and kept it going for however many years as a social experiment."
how would you react
because there were a couple people, both here and on b.old, who were absolutely convinced that everything i say is just an elaborate troll--which isn't the case, but sometimes i wonder, what if it WAS the case?

Eye contact is so easy though, why does everyone make a big deal out of it.
What's so hard about looking at someone in the eye
I used to have trouble doing it in middle school. It simply had to do with me not wanting to see anything that I, well, didn't want to see. Like anger, or shame.

All of those look gay as fuk except Incredibles. Idk what that one with the dinosaur is though so.
People saying this, and even the opposite, are fucking retarded.
How are people judging a movie by vague posters?
i'm not judging any of the movies i'm asking the question--"did we need this movie"

It's still anime. ...no anime = japanese animation avatar is not japanese at all it has a style heavily inspired by anime, but that doesn't make it anime
