Friends should be as disloyal as possible, if need be.

Yeah, I don't really know much about competitive pokemon at all.
Gotcha. Are you familiar with Smogon, or at least the distinction between Smogon rules and VGC rules?
Quote
Like, what would you suggest and say about Charizard, Metagross, Gardevoir...? Preferably offensive ones, really.
These are Pokémon I basically never use, and while I could certainly help, I'd probably just be regurgitating a lot of what their Smogon articles say--so I'll just direct you to their pages instead. Smogon is a great resource.

Charizard
Metagross
Gardevoir

All of them are absurdly powerful when given their respective Mega Stones. Mega Charizard X and Mega Metagross in particular are among the strongest selections in the competitive metagame (barring VGC rules). Mega Charizard Y is also pretty stupid, but very overrated--Stealth Rock invalidates it completely. Mega Gardevoir is strong, but delicate.

Oh yeah, Husky brought up Weakness Policy--that's a brilliant strategy, but it relies heavily on Multi-scale.

Guys, can anyone recommend me a good Dragonite for competitive? Just the most standard / strong one you can think of.
Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake/Fire Punch/Thunder Punch/Roost

Sorry--no Hyper Beam, but this set offers a similar (yet vastly more efficient) fuck-shit-up-with-extreme-prejudice ethos. After a single Dragon Dance, Outrage runs a truck through pretty much everything that doesn't resist it. After two Dragon Dances, you have yourself a potent wall-breaker, even capable of tearing down Pokémon that are specifically designed to tank hits. It's kinda brain-dead, but extremely satisfying nonetheless.

The Lum Berry is there to help mitigate the confusion problem--I assume you know all about Outrage's drawbacks. It can also be used to shrug off burns and paralysis, which would otherwise severely cripple your Dragonite.

Extreme Speed is amazing, because it has +2 priority--meaning it out-prioritizes moves like Aqua Jet, Bullet Punch, Sucker Punch, and Mach Punch, which are only +1. It also out-prioritizes Talonflame's Gale Wings-affected attacks like Brave Bird and Acrobatics, which is huge. On top of that, it's a solid 80 base power move that benefits highly from Dragon Dances and is resisted only by Rock, Steel, and Ghost-types.

The fourth move is up to you, but choose wisely, because they're not interchangeable. What Earthquake can hit won't necessarily work with Fire Punch, and vice-versa. It just depends on what kind of type coverage you want. Roost is probably what I'd go with, just because it's slightly unconventional, and I like keeping my Pokémon healthy. It also resets the Multi-scale effect, which is super nice to have. Just keep in mind that when a Flying-type Pokémon uses Roost, it temporarily loses its Flying-type for that turn.

EV investment is pretty straightforward. You want maximum attack and speed investment for the fastest and hardest-hitting Dragonite possible.

You're lucky that your favorite Pokémon is competitively viable.

So no
They are not separate
Your mental illnesses are you
Literally none of what you said proves this. I suggest you stop trying to talk about subjects you know fuck all about, little boy.

The Flood / Re: What is Nolan's best movie?
« on: September 18, 2016, 11:16:12 AM »
Probably Memento, though I haven't seen it.
Appearance of intelligence > Intelligence
The premise, the genre, and the fact that multiple people with similar taste in movies to me have told me that I'd love Memento, and the fact that it's widely considered to be a great film, I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume it's his best movie. I could be absolutely wrong.

No it really does
Mentally illness changes the way you think
Like the brain actually changes and science has shown it with brain scans and autopsies
And do you understand the changes that are actually taking place? Are you a neurologist?

Do you know that there exists medication and treatment for people who want to get their lives back together?

It's because the disorder isn't them, and they are not their disorder. They're separate. If they weren't separate, medication wouldn't even be possible. You would just be permanently depressed with nothing to do about it.

Thankfully, it doesn't work the way a high schooler on the Internet thinks it does.

Wait, what is that?
On 4chan, inputting the word "sage" into the e-mail field of a new post will allow you to post in a thread without bumping it, thus giving the thread less visibility. It's basically a "fuck you" to the OP without actually giving the thread more attention.

So, not something we need.

You do realize that a person and their mental illness aren't two separate things right
It's not like your mental illness is just a bad friend giving you bad ideas
You're fucking 14 years old. Do you really think you know what you're talking about?

If you kill yourself because you have depression it's your own fault, not the depression
Correct.

If you kill yourself over your gender identity, it's your own stupid ass's fault, not your disorder's
HOLY SHIT VERBATIM ACTUALLY SAID THIS
YES, IF YOU KILL YOURSELF OVER SOMETHING SO STUPID, THEN FUCK YOU

WHO NEEDS YOU

FUCK OFF AND BE DEAD, YOU STUPID SELFISH FUCK

HERE'S YOUR FUCKING DARWIN AWARD, YOU FUCKING IDIOT WHO THINKS GENDER MATTERS

An intelligent transperson would find a better reason to kill him or herself if they wanted to.

if i concluded that i was female tomorrow, do you REALLY think that i would ever do anything stupid like kill myself over it

100% harmless

if gender dysphoria were a bug that physically compelled your brain to off itself, it would be a different story

The Flood / Re: Mental disorders you'd rather kill yourself than have

Seeing how trannies have one of the highest suicide rates in history, it's pretty harmful
If you kill yourself over your gender identity, it's your own stupid ass's fault, not your disorder's

if you kill yourself because of relentless bullying and persecution, just for expressing yourself how you want to expressed, then that may not be your fault, but it's not the disorder's fault either--it's the fault of people like you who refuse to accept them

so gg, you're pure scum and part of the reason why the world is a terrible place to live
