I should probably apologize to the people I've made rude comments towards in this thread--Icy, Midget, Aria, couple others.
I don't need to explain that this election process has been incredibly high-stress, and I haven't felt this utterly dejected, drained, and defeated in a long, long time. Midget's comment about one of my best and closest friends really pushed me over the edge. So I spent the next few pages being the biggest asshole I could. I'm sorry about that--especially for the rape comments I made towards Midget's family. That was the harshest thing I thought I could've said, and it was disgusting and vile--which was the point, but it wasn't necessary and just made me look childish as usual. Aria, I feel like I use you as a punching bag sometimes when I'm angry--because I know you can take it. Even though you know not to take anything mean I say to you to heart, that doesn't excuse me from saying it in the first place. I'm sorry. And sorry to everyone else I was rude to as well. There's a reason I repeatedly asked to be banned, because I knew I wasn't gonna be able to keep my mouth shut. I mean, none of you actually care, but I just wanted to get it out there that I got extraordinarily emotional tonight. I don't even have the energy to be angry anymore. Bottom line: I don't accept Trump as my president, but I probably shouldn't take it out on you guys. 12573
The Flood / Re: If you're over 18, who did you vote for?« on: November 09, 2016, 12:37:54 AM »Anything is bad when done badly, yes. I didn't take the "bait." I've always agreed to the general principle that everyone who works should receive a living wage, period the end.Actually, it is a bad thing--by the Democratic Party's own admission. They pushed it anyway because they knew folks like you might take the bait.My fucking state voted for a minimum wage increase over 4 yearsThat's great. Congratulations. see my edit, this came across a bit more pointed than I intendedI appreciate that. 12574

Reminds me of the time this one guy didn't like the fact that I'm atheist and wanted me to die in a car accident and get raped by niggers in LA. 12576

Not my fault that I was in the minority, and it's not the fault of those who are too young or feeble to vote either.I'm in the same boat, but the difference is that you're not nearly as pissed off as you need to be about it. You're a person who's never expressed much passion or conviction for anything, and I've called you on this numerous times--but if there was ever a time where you've got to be mad as hell, it's now. But you're not, and you won't be. You'll sit in your room, poison yourself, "take it in stride," and hope things get better. When they fucking won't. SPOILER, SHOCK HORROR I'm not saying there's much else you can do, but it's the complacency that pisses me off. Among other things. 12578

If there's one thing that's certain, it's that you get the president you deserve, and you also deserve everything that happens as a result of having elected him. Play with fire; get burned. You get what you deserve. Quote I dunno, I'd rather try and take this in stride despite the fact that I'm completely dissatisfied with how the election went, and that's even excluding the presidential choice itself.Has "taking things in stride" done much good for you lately? If so, great, I'm glad. Personally, I think such optimism is for children and dumb Christians. You should be pissed the fuck off. 12580
