Ready to point out every failure and oppose every policy that I see as anti-American? Sure. But I believe in the USA, and that we'll survive him.
And that's where we differ. I don't even want America to survive this.
You really need to get hit by a bus. That kind of sentiment is so unbelievably stupid there are no words to adequately describe the depth of idiocy it reaches
Hahaha Fuck America. Burn it to the fucking ground.

Accept he's in power? Not like I have a choice in that.
Sure you do. "Accept" doesn't mean "allow."
And trade places with the anti-Obama nutjobs I've spent 8 years making fun of? Not likely.
I mean, you've already said that you don't respect him, so you're basically already there. You just don't like the word "accept" for some reason. Embrace the nutjob--it's the only way to be.

People are so damn melodramatic
Even as someone who didn't want Trump to win, some people just bitch and bitch and bitch about things that will never effect their daily lives. Maybe pay attention on the local level and see who's in office there. Factually speaking, they'll fuck with your lives more.

I don't think it occurs to most people that promoting or opposing gay rights is equivalent to promoting or opposing foot fetish or chubby chaser rights
It means absolutely fucking nothing. It does not matter what turns your cabinet members on, so long as they aren't degenerates carrying out strange shit.
"Sexual orientation" is a load of horseshit. Everybody has sexual preferences. Making it a part of your identity is probably one of the most retarded, autistic things you can do.
sure, but the important difference is that no one has ever been denied their rights for having a foot or fat fetish, so i don't really care much for that comparison, but i see your point and mostly agree with it

The biggest redpill you'll ever take is realizing that homosexuality is just a fetish.
is it a redpill if it's the most obvious thing ever most people probably wouldn't say it's a "fetish," but whatever they say, it all means the same shit

I'd probably exercise more if maintaining a diet wasn't such a crucial part of it.
You're already on a vegan diet, just eat more proteins like edamame/peanut butter and dietary fiber like flax/berries.
yeah, but i'd still have to deal with >gym people
and i'm not gay enough to do calisthenics
Who are "Gym people?"
And yes, I know that you mean "People who go to the gym," but why do you say that as if they're a burden to be around? The vast majority of people I encounter at gyms are very polite, friendly, and just want to mind their own business while working out. Exercise is therapeutic for a lot of people, it's a good stress reliever, so most people just want to be very reserved.
if you don't already know the kind of people i'm talking about, then consider yourself fortunate also, get yourself a titlebar, you're eligible now

Maybe the reason why Verb is so anti-Trump is simply because he is secretly a Trump supporter. For example the people who are are strongly anti-gay end up being gay themselves. So for Verb it could be the same scenario.
I don't want shit to do with you if you don't hate Trump as much as I do. Verb has more salt than the Pacific.
That's like saying the universe has more stars than a galaxy does. It's just a bit redundant.

...Who is that in your avatar, anyway?
Some professional Cosplayer named Alexandre Milette. I found him by chance while ordering circle lenses. He was one of the "real customer" pictures that they put up as an example of how the lenses would look. He does male cosplay too, and I'm not sure if he is actually trans or not.
He's more feminine than most women. Jesus.

All you had to do was say "Do either of you have any evidence?", and even if neither of them did I would still be able to direct you to relevant research. You must have missed this post, then. I'm not directly asking for "evidence" here, but I am questioning Turkey's conclusions and implicitly requesting that he defend or support them (which he hasn't done-- but he seems a little preoccupied with some litigation at the moment so I don't blame him). Come on man, you were being lazy.
I admitted tacitly that I don't know a great deal about economics or history, but I've always been taught that the New Deal played overall to the country's benefit, salvaging us from the depression. When I'm told the exact opposite (as though it's common knowledge), it's not lazy for me to ask a few questions, which I did. When LC popped in and confirmed what I've always been taught, it reassured me that I've not gone batshit, hence my response--"Okay, that's what I've always thought." There's a reason I tend to trust what little my history teachers have taught me--I assume good faith in my curriculum and understand that, even if what's being said to me isn't the whole truth, still serves as a good fundamental baseline for how I examine and consider the events of my country's history. You're basically claiming that I'm the victim of leftist indoctrination, and that the right totally doesn't just have some kind of persecution complex, where their revisionist ideas are summarily discarded--or "lazily ignored." Naturally, I won't be very receptive to that. I'm just saying, I'm more inclined to believe what I've always believed and nothing has really been said thus far to shift my views. I'm not arguing with you--I just have a few questions. Here was your response to LC: If by "commonly agreed" you mean "shit we teach kids pre-college because we're too lazy to explain it properly" then yeah the New Deal was pretty important. If we're talking about actual empirical work, instead of what our teachers tell us, it becomes far less important. This communicates to me a lot of mixed messages. You can't seem to decide whether the New Deal ultimately helped out or not. It either did or it didn't. Turkey's original claim was that it played to the country's detriment-- exacerbating the depression--and I could've sworn you were on his side. But here, you're arguing that it was "pretty important," if only you look at the situation from a narrow scope, as opposed to looking at "actual empirical work." But you see, at the end of the day, if it helped, then it helped--right? So is your argument that some aspects of the New Deal worked out, but most of them didn't? That would make more sense--could you help me understand which aspects of the deal weren't as efficacious? LC sent me a few things to read, as well, so I'll be looking at this from both sides and forming my own conclusions, if you like.
