The Flood / Re: choose my avatar
« on: November 22, 2016, 08:17:48 PM »
I'd only use a picture of myself if it were stylized a bit. I wouldn't take a low-res "just got out of bed after drooling all over my hair" selfie.
I more meant the idea of using a picture of yourself as an avatar

what's wrong with my hair though lmao, that's like the main criticism I get and also the only thing I like about myself
It looks kinda greasy, and the way you have it hanging over your eyes in some pictures looks pretty dorky.

For real, if you're gonna do this, take a nice picture from a nice angle and style it a bit--maybe do the black and white thing. Watch your expression, too--you always have this bug-eyed look of confusion/curiosity on your face, like you're trying to look cute, but it just ends up looking indescribably weird. I don't know, just take it more natural.

Lower the eyelids, try not to look directly into the camera.

You were a highly forgettable member, so I never made the connection until now.

Because their preferred policies and laws/way of life doesn't mix with the policies and ways of life in other locations.
Isn't that what federalism is for? Because I'm pretty sure that's what federalism is for.

I will admit that's a reasonable flaw that's been brought up, but keep in mind the EC wasn't always winner take all, and some states still don't have a winner take all system (Maine for example is split this year).
Well see, that's even more fucked up. Why are some states able to be split, but not all of them? If every state were able to split their ballot, we'd have some very different results.
Quote
Also Texas is a pretty bad example since it swung blue in 08 and 12.
We also had a choice between two carbon copy republicans in 2012.

2008 has an asterisk, because everyone was scared of McCain dying and Sarah Palin assuming office, and everyone was super excited over the prospect of having our first black president. McPalin's entire campaign was a complete joke.

Explain to us how clustered urbanites dictating how the country should be run every election is more viable than a proportional representation of people's voting behaviour.
The way I see it, it's simply the needs of the many outweighing the needs of the fewer. It's not terribly complicated.

Quote
I mean, it's not as if every state has an equal amount of electoral votes. Why do you think California has the highest amount? For the shits and giggles?
The numbers barely matter when it's a winner-take-all situation.

Serious / Re: Should the US abolish the Electoral College?

Because they shouldn't dictate the entirety of the country.
Why the fuck not, though? That's what I'm asking you.

Explain, what about it is broke?
The fact that a republican vote in California means nothing, and a democratic vote in Texas means nothing.

The fact that not all votes count as much as each other.

Also everyone is losing their shit about the EC this year as if this has never happened before, it's happened four times beforehand and one time in all our lifetimes (the 2000 election).
Everyone lost their shit over the 2000 election too.

We all love to bitch about it when it doesn't work in our favor
Had Hillary won by EC and Trump won the popular vote, I'd stand on my principles and be just as indignant over the system. I won't tell you that I'd be livid, because Trump deserves to be raped with a 10 foot pole, but I'd still call bullshit.

Isn't the whole point to prevent sprawling cities like New York and LA from swinging every election in their favour?

Seems pretty reasonable IMO.
Yeah, now we have fuckhead rural counties swinging the elections in their favor. Brilliant.
"electoral college is bad because it didn't turn out how i wanted it to a bloo bloo!!1one"

Fuck off. You'd be defending the electoral college until your dying breath if Hillary won and you know it.
No, I absolutely fucking wouldn't. I've hated the electoral college since the day I learned about it.

Without it, everyone who doesn't live in the current big states or swing states are basically told to fuck off.
Can you come up with a logical reason why they shouldn't be told to fuck off?

Why shouldn't the most populous areas hold more sway?

Nothing will ever satisfy this cunt. What exactly is a non sexualized female character according to her standards? An amorphous grey block?
I haven't even watched the video. I just love posting her videos here.

Are you sure she doesn't give SOME kind of explanation?

Maybe it's not her clothing, but her animations, or maybe how the camera treats her.

And my immediate family are members of my race, who are hierarchically closer to me than other races, what's your point?
That skin color has shit to do with it?

Can you read?

Quote
This is some creationist level of science denial. Race exists and is genetic, any other opinion is anti-science creationism.
"the alternative hypothesis"

Denied.
Quote
Except it's a statistical fact that whites overwhelmingly vote republican, and non-whites vote democrat.
If anything, this should make you hate your race.
Quote
Of all the things that characterize people, race is the single most important by far. If you think race magically doesn't exist, that DNA is a social construct, then you are functionally a creationist.
Except I'm not a creationist. If you think race is anything more than a social construct, you're a functionally a retard. How about that?

You're going to have to do a better job at articulating your point than "nuh uh, ur wrong". I just used those talking points exactly how liberals use them, but word swapped things important to liberals with things important to me.
Your whole point is that this:
Quote
Are you being intolerant? Diversity of ideas is our greatest strength. Stop liberalsplaining, I find that offensive.
...is an attempt at demonstrating how "irritating" these points are, and I'm explaining to you that it's not. Mostly because everything you'res saying is wrong--so why would I be bothered by it? Either way, that doesn't mean you're not allowed to make these arguments.

To answer your questions, I'm EXTREMELY intolerant of conservative ideology and I will continue to offend the fuck out of you.

The Flood / Re: I just wanna beat the fuck out of a republican

But they're genetically closer to me than anyone else
False--that would be your immediate family, and beyond that, any measure of genetic "closeness" becomes too fastidious to even give a fuck. Genetically, you are as close to the random black person as you are to the average white person. Race is basically just a social construct that means fuck all.

Quote
and because of that are naturally predisposed to hold views similar to my own, enjoy things similar to myself, value similar things, and in essence act like an extended family.
No they don't. You choose who you associate with--white people aren't predisposed to any values just because they're white. That's plain retarded.

Serious / Re: Hamilton Cast calls out Mike Pence

No, what I showed by example is that when people use these progressive talking points against progressives, they tend to realize that it's infuriatingly annoying.
But it's not. If anything, it's facile and easy to manage, because liberals are the only ones who understand how those arguments actually work. ie. Not the way you think they do.

Quote
And just like others, you've failed to connect the dots that you're causing this yourself.

Trumpism is a religion of peace, anyone who disagrees is just Americaphobic, and should be given some sensitivity training.
The difference is that when liberals make these arguments, they're bolstering a sensible belief.

You're really quite horrible at this.

why is it bad for me to love my own people above all else?
Because they're not "your people." At all. They just share your skin color--that's it.

The rest of your questions are either too loaded or malformed for me to answer.

Serious / Re: Hamilton Cast calls out Mike Pence

Defend this, Trump sycophants.
This is the new normal, anyone who disagrees is on the wrong side of history, we need to leave behind those archaic outdated notions of liberalism, I mean, it's 2016 after all, why are we still discussing this? I literally can't even comprehend why you'd disagree.

Wow, It's almost like thought terminating cliches are really fucking annoying to argue with.
I think you missed the point, rather adorably.

Cuntservatives are always ragging on liberals and SJWs for wanting to have "safe spaces," and here we have the current king of conservatives wanting to have safe spaces. A supposed champion for political incorrectness is crying like a little baby because he can't have his safe space to have his precious beliefs protected.

Fuck this guy.

Sounds good, I'll probably pick it up fairly soon then.

How is the difficulty though?
XY/ORAS was mindnumbingly easy, I get why they wanted to make it less grindy but I don't think I ever got to a gym and went 'well fuck' during the battle. Maybe it's to do with knowing the games better than when I was younger but I think there was a lot of design choice that made it a piece of cake.
I wouldn't say mind-numbingly easy this go-around, but at this point, I've conditioned myself to make the games more challenging in my own ways. That said, I honestly had a couple "well shit" moments against some of the Totem Pokémon.

Just turn off the Exp. Share, avoid using Z-moves, and try using Pokémon you've never trained before. It also may not hurt to impose some kind of item restriction, but that's approaching nuzlocke territory.
