That basketball player episode is hilarious lol.

Counter to popular belief no one "won" the war of 1812. The war just carried on until their was no reason to fight anymore as the conditions that had setup the conflict had been resolved in Europe. Though the burning of the white house was probably the most brought up subject over here in the UK when anyone talks about Canada. Simply because the Canadians try to take credit for one of our Generals handiwork.

Somewhat relevant. This apparently happened in Missouri as well and it's interesting to watch. Apparently you really don't have to answer anything at checkpoints and the like if they're pulling everybody over when they've done nothing wrong.

Based.

Yeah I know about the whole term usage, but everything else you say makes no sense. Nobody controls these people and tells them how to act. They make their own little cities all on their own.

Well your own post kind of says what I was trying to get across. There is no compunction to integrate into the British common culture so immigrants do not. This is why we have such a problem with second generation immigrants rejecting British common culture and being radicalised. Whether it's for Islam, Communism, Nationalism etc. etc.

Serious / Re: Ukraine update: The Rebellion Strikes Back.
« on: August 27, 2014, 02:13:43 PM »
The Donbask(sp?) battalion of the Ukrainian army supposedly lost 50% of it's fighting strength to desertion on the way to the front lines. And the Rebels are getting ready for a proper tank battle with in excess of 400 70's to modern era tanks.

488
What the hell are you even talking about?

1) Foreign immigrants have been told by PC crowd that they should make no attempts to integrate with the common culture and so basically have their own cities. While I don't care what language they speak in their own homes etc. convincing multiple generations of Britons that it is wrong to be apart of the British common culture is asking for disaster. Unfortunately for common sense the PC crowd continuously attacks the "immigrants should assimilate into the common culture and be left alone beyond that" viewpoint.

2) Asian is the newspeak term for predominantly Muslim countries in shitholeistan. East Asian is the newspeak term for all the actual Asians lol.

490
And even after this people who say that assimilation is the only practical course of action when dealing with immigrants will still be called racist.

P.S. before someone says they weren't pakis understand that "Asian" is newspeak for predominantly Muslim countries in the middle of shitholeistan. e.g. Bangladesh and Pakistan are "Asians" but turkey is not.

491
I don't see why you can't just blacklist certain conflict areas for travel, and only allow professional journalists to go.

This right here. Also because of the peculiarities of our constitution you can't really "destroy" it, merely go against the spirit of the constitution.

Hey slash. Stop spending all your mil monarch points or you'll be left behind tech level wise. mil tech 5, 6 and 7 are absolutely essential so you shouldn't be spending mil power on a ideas/non-essential generals etc. for the first sixty or so years from start date. If you had kept up with mil power you would have been able to beat Venice in the first coalition war. Now that I'm a free nation though I'll be able to come down with and help you with any further coalition wars. I just need a better economy before I become lord of death for Muscovy. I want Kola!

I've been seeing this shit everywhere, but I don't even know what the gameplay is like for it.

What countries are these officers going to be from? Is there a selection process or does each member nation get to appoint a set number of people?

And more to the point, what conflict are we currently involved in that makes any of that shit necessary?

Any person from a member state can join the FedMil. So officers can originate from any member nation and control units from any nation (look at how that Dane motorised unit was folded into one of the German motorised brigades). Positions generally appointed by competence and seniority, any political appointments would be voted on by each member states leader. E.g. current field marshal/top general fucks up and is replaced by the next in seniority and the next in line for promotion to general gets into the lowest general position. The size of the top brass I would not be qualified to comment on, but as for the question of why would it be necessary:

1) to reduce wars of aggression. With offensive wars only being able to be declared by vote of each member states leader there is reduced risk of financial or other damage caused by a lack of negotiations.

2) most wars where western units fight in the past twenty years are coalition wars and in each instance serious issues have surfaced between the different militaries because of divergent combat doctrines influenced by the economic and geopolitical of each nation. A combined military branch separated from each of the coalition nations that can be more effectively utilised in these conflicts is a boon both to the military in terms of the effectiveness increase due to a single command structure and a shared combat doctrine but too the member states who are assured of another countries participation in any conflict where they are at threat.

At this point I'd also like to say that I would support the replacement of the EU with a European FedMil.

who's going to be in charge of this "federalized military" then?

The generals and/or the field marshal. If you mean who is charge of setting it to war than a vote cast by each member states leader would suffice. Of course if one nation is attacked then auto-war.

Over some issues, yes. But generally I'd like to see the United States of Europe someday >.>
I quite like their technocratic approach to a lot of issues and whilst it might seem like pointless and silly meddling it generally has a point and purpose. Like outlawing certain lightbulbs, vacuum cleaners and setting green energy targets etc.

I'm not of the mind that we should let the planet get run into the ground and then expect the free market to fix it for profit.

Fuck a united states of Europe. Us Brits have earned our own federalised commonwealth.
