DE -> Invisible War is like an extreme version of Crysis -> Crysis 2. B) I know, my point was that I still love Human Revolution and it's not just nostalgia for Deus Ex that makes me dislike Invisible War. And yeah, HR is my favorite 7th gen game along with Mass Effect. You should totally go for it. 1625

It's a nice shooter with an above average story that deals with some decently high concept themes. You have to actually play Deus Ex to notice just how ridiculous of a shift it is though. In particular though? IW was basically tunnel vision Deus Ex. It was just a gang war. Deus Ex was a layered, monumentally complex story. Hell there's some guy who, 9 months ago, started doing weekly 1 hour lectures on the game and he STILL hasn't finished. Invisible War, by contrast, is simplistic as all sh1t. And that's not just nostalgia talking. I fracking loved Human Revolution. 1626

It's not actually! Once you actually start to play it everything just sorta naturally falls into place. The "complex" maneuvers end up being things that you devise on the fly. And then when you finish the level you're like... "damn, I actually did that!"

What the hell could it be... This element that selectively targets humans, I'm guessing that's the final stage, much like a Xenomorph bursting from someone's chest. Obviously it's the element + humans in some way [hell we have an infection scene which you can see at some points in the video], but... what's it for? Who would have a need for it? Cap 3 is the start of it, and RDJ will also star in it, as the antagonist. Considering Sebastian Stan has a 9 movie contract lined up, this is barely a spoiler at all. 1633

High action scenes in movies are actually bolstered by 60FPS a lot. Watched the Avengers at 60FPS a while back and that was really sweet to look at.

While the PC has far more than 100% the content the Xbox version does?>thinking Halo CE Xbox is better than Halo CE PCConsidering that MCC is just a bunch of repackaged, HD versions of old Halo games that everyone has played the hell out of I see absolutely no reason to even take a glance at it Nope. Halo CE Xbox > PC because of PW timing, spawns, and several miniscule details that only LAN-ers will realize. And because shotlead is harder with a controller than it is with a pixel perfect mouse. Though MCC will probably be the best as it'll have the content of PC with the settings of Xbox. Talk to ChaosTheory on teambeyond. He'll rip the PC version to shreds in front of your eyes. No, timers and spawns are not "the same." ESPECIALLY on Prisoner. Oh sh1t PSU actually knows what he's talking about. All this time I thought you were just H2 nostalgia incarnate. 1641

>Special snowflake devs believe they can counter politicization of writing and art in general by channeling Verbatim into their release
They are no less deluded than the Anita crowd. I can maybe even understand if this was just a game that the devs wanted to make, but they state that they're doing it for political reasons. Insulting. Not just to gaming or writing, but media in general. 1645
Gaming / Re: Halo CEA 60FPS/1080p MCC« on: October 16, 2014, 05:29:28 PM »To be honest, I went back and took a look at CEA again. It's a really sloppy remastering and upping the FPS will only do so much. Agreed in some parts. I was rather forgiving of its shortcomings because of the inclusion of the back button, but there was definitely a ton of stuff that I disliked about it. Though I would take it, or any version of CE for that matter, over any other Halo game in a heartbeat. 1646
