I wouldn't say scam, but they definitely capitalize on it.

And I don't get why you seem to think the right hinders progress. Most of the ideas liberals put out have been nothing but a detriment to society. Is it opposite day, or something?

I never said improvement is an impossibility, but we need more time, and that's something we're quickly running out of.No, we don't need time, we need resources--and we need worthless conservative faggots to stop hindering progress by claiming that we can't make progress. That humans are just too shitty to do anything remotely humanitarian. You see, the problem here is, the vast majority are literally incapable of change to a great degree, and the rational people that want to make the world a better place for everyone are a rarity. Why? Because humans are naturally hedonistic and most people won't engage in altruistic behaviour because they will rationalize their behaviour as being acceptable, since they can't think about the long term or see the bigger picture. That's the real issue and it will bring about our demise. And time is a resource. No progress will matter if we're going to be extinct in a century (not that we'd be able to make significant progress to utopia in a relatively short time frame like that, unless Moore's law holds up) thanks to rampant ignorance and greed. 667

But, as I said, I have some leftist views -- the reasonable ones that are logical to have.I don't know what you both are on about. I see both sides doing the same emotional appeals and things that won't work. I rephrase -- the right has the most logical ideas, while the left has the most emotional ideas, that, while seemingly great and morally just on paper, always fall short in reality when executed (because they don't account for the fact that humans have differences and aren't perfect beings that are all equal to each other), often with negative consequences e.g. communism. Both sides have their positives and negatives, because nothing can truly be perfect in a chaotic system. 671

I'm not bothered by emotional behaviour or insults at all in that sense. To me, it's immature and pathetic, and the only thing you're accomplishing by behaving that way is poor representation of what you stand for. Most of my interactions with people feel depressing. Not that I'm depressing, at least not any more, since I've adopted a positive outlook, but people always somehow manage to be huge downers. Maybe it's in my head and my expectations are unrealistic. But whatever, life goes on.

Gaming / What would you consider game of the decade?« on: September 19, 2016, 07:14:14 PM »
For me, Dark Souls. It really stands out to me compared to other games -- I love pretty much everything about it -- especially the amazing level design and philosophy behind the game.
It would be a 10/10 game if post Anor Londo was finished, but I personally find that excusable because of Bamco's cutthroat deadlines that forced the developers to rush it. I honestly can't think of another contender for game of the decade. 684
