What went wrong?
The fact that it just sucked the original Dark Souls dick with "DUDE REFERENCES LMAO" and blended it with some aspects of Bloodborne instead of trying something new like Dark Souls 2.
Really, Dark Souls 1 or Bloodborne are infinitely better choices over Dark Souls 3. Hell, Dark Souls 2 is more fun.
I've yet to play 2 or 3, but it's uncanny how this model mirrors the original Castlevania trilogy on the NES.
Castlevania & Dark Souls--beloved games generally regarded as benchmarks for their era.
Castlevania 2 & Dark Souls 2--disappointing installments that failed to capture what made the original so good.
Castlevania 3 & Dark Souls 3--great games that went back to the franchise's roots, but sacrificing some innovation.
That seems to be the general impression I get from people, anyway.
That's interesting, especially when you consider Dark Souls takes inspiration from Castlevania. Honestly, Dark Souls 2 isn't that bad of a game, but if you're looking for the experience the original gave, you might be disappointed.

I have over 700 hours on the game.
Are there any serious consequences for killing the weapons guys that want you to kill Cass? I can't remember their name, but it's next to a casino.
The Silver Rush? Well, they can be hard to kill of, especially for a lower level character, but the consequences aren't too severe from what I recall. The heaviest penalty is no longer being able to purchase weapons from them, and they sell the largest selection of energy weapons.
Alternatively, just cheese the fuck out of them by carrying their weapons to the bathroom and picking them up because nobody can see you steal them.

Yup. I thought it was hilarious, just taking all their shit and they have no reaction to their store being empty. It's the first thing I do when I'm playing an energy weapons character.
