Challenger has a point. This is the kind of shit that destroys communities like ours. Not just forum drama, but secrecy and cliques forming.
If you want things private, do it by PM. Don't start talking about it in public and then walk away saying "this is totes bad shit happening that caused a massive amount of forum drama, but none of you can know. I mean, none of you except the people I like because I'll let them know by PM."
This is stupid. Ridiculous forum drama is one thing, but then making a fuss about keeping it secret and private afterwards does nothing but divide the community. And that is something a forum as small as ours can definitely do without.
I agree with the both of you. Secrecy in online communities can create rifts between its users. I've encountered this kind of shit before in some communities I was a part of.
