Is this britbong college language? Genuinely interested in how this works

Those are A-Level grades.

So A-Levels are what most Britbong students do before Uni, from ages 16-18. In the first year, we have our AS exams, and then in the second we have our A2 exams, and these combine to make our final grade. Most people do 4 A-Levels but drop one after the first year, although I haven't dropped any, and some people have done more than 4 A-Levels.

Okay, but what about your OWL exams?
The cunt Michael Gove scrapped OWLs as he didn't want people achieving their dreams.

That's not a video game character.

Not Ellen Page specifically, but she did play a charcter in a video game hence the picture.
I know what it is.

Ah such a good song. The FEELZ MAN!!!!
this game was great too

The scene with that music in...one of my favourite all-time moments in gaming. Tops the KOTOR 1 revelation scene IMO.

Have another ambitious one (what Uni btw?)

Insurance is what you don't aim for, that's the point. Have two ambitious ones as (depending on the University, course spaces and average grades for the course) the actual grades they want can be far lower then what they're asking for.

I really messed up my choices of Uni at the application phase, and so only had Cardiff Uni as a reachable offer and my insurance was to reset the year and aim for Leicester which had a higher (and at the time of the offer, literally impossible to do).

Plus, there's always Clearing if it all goes horribly wrong and you could use that as a secondary insurance (though that one's a bit more chaotic - usually you have to sort out your own private accommodation and rushed finances that way).

Whatever you decide to do though, good luck!

Completely forgot about Clearing. I agree with this one now.

I've sent my application off.

Got AABB at AS, predicted A*AAA this year although I'm predicting myself for A* A/A*, B, B

Mine was a bit weird as my choices are all similar grades, so:
Bath - AAA/A*AB
Bristol - A*AA - AAA
Southampton - A*AA AAA
Surrey - AAA - AAB (Middle/Insurance)
King's - AAB (Insurance)

In hindsight I maybe should have put down something a little lower for my insurance, but oh well.
Despite what I did, I would say have 1 ambitious, 2 middle, 2 insurance. Getting the ambitious is always a bonus however you need something to fall back on, and something else to fall back on if you don't get that.

Mainly AAA. AAA does have the problem of capitalism fucking everything up, but then the Indie community is full of pretentious dickbags (*cough*philfish*cough*) with only a few decent gems among a pile of shit.
