Definitely Witcher 3 so far, but Arkham Knight and MGSV are still on their way.

It's better now that you don't have to pay a monthly subscription for the damn game.

It's an alright game, just feels massively overhyped for what if offers.  I remember getting annoyed when I joined the Ebonheart Pact because you're thrust back into Skyrim for a good while, which gave off the feeling of "same old, same old" scenery if you spent hundreds, if not thousands of hours in Skyrim like I did.

Sons of the Harpy are so powerful, roughly 10 of them got killed by an old man despite having superior numbers and bum-rushing him.

I honestly think they got uber powerful just for drama purposes...unless they go against a main character.  Loved how they charged Daario one by one and ended up getting stabbed to death.

So why the fuck did Selyse suddenly begin to give a fuck about the daughter she practically disowned for 3 seasons?

Because DRAMA.

Book Stannis would beat the living shit out of Show Stannis if he found out what happpened.

Episode was a bit underwhelming

You are out of your goddamn mind. We got the death of a recurring character, an incredible fight scene, and a huge advancement in Dany's story.
The fight scene was pretty poorly choreographed

And the CGI was terrible but the episode was still amazing. And the finale is definitely going to be the Battle of Winterfell, so you can bet on that being awesome, too.

Given the show's budget, here's how the "Battle" of Winterfell will go:

>Stannis gives rallying speech to his soldiers

>They charge Winterfell

>Couple scenes of Dany or Arya

>Next scene shows Stannis' banner flying over Winterfell.

Episode was a bit underwhelming

The finale better be a good damn episode

Compared to Hardhome?  Yes, the episode was really, really underwhelming.

If they really did want that "shock" that comes with every episode 9, then here's how I would have done it:

Spoiler
Have Stannis and his army battle the winter conditions throughout the episode.  There's starving men, they're dying in the cold, etc.  Mel tells him to burn Shireen so they can make it to Winterfell, but he refuses.  Have Stannis be conflicted about the idea.  He WANTS the Throne, but he doesn't want to sacrifice his daughter.

Then at the end, Selyse and Mel go behind his back to burn Shireen.  Cut to credits as soon as Stannis comes across the burning.

Not trolling.

It's fucking infuriating because Stannis would NEVER do this shit.  It's like Selyse and Stannis swapped scripts, because Stannis was just watching Shireen burn stone-faced while Selyse was bawling her eyes out (despite being ALL FOR THIS THING.)

Take for example,  gay people.  Cut out the Sharia Law part of the paragraph, and he'll make it seem like he's all for gays not having rights or "privileges ".
Ah, I was only thinking of immigrants.

It can be taken either way, given how vague the statement would be if he didn't include Sharia Law

If you remove the first sentence it's kind of a shitty stance to have (regarding minorities).
How, exactly?

It's been pretty much confirmed that Mild is Elegiac not Zesty, although they're both... "Special" so I can see why you'd confuse them.
Elegiac seems like a smart, friendly guy. Good sense of humour compared to a lot of the stuff that passes for humour around here. Zesty is quirky and interesting. Fun guy.

I don't mind being compared to either of them, but I don't see the need to. And to be honest, matey (no offense), they're both a lot more memorable than you for the right reasons. So if you mean 'special' in that sense, I'd agree. But if you're being critical, I'd suggest going to your own post history; open it up, start reading, and see how quickly you go to sleep.

Hi, Elegiac.
What makes you think that's elegiac?

It's obvious.

The Flood / Re: Jon Snow's fate in the show
« on: June 05, 2015, 12:41:57 PM »
I feel like it's basically been thrown in our faces all season that the little kid will be a part of it. Even my mom has picked up on it. A lot of us have also noticed the line from Sam when he said "Jon always comes back" as a sort of foreshadowing.

The thing that confuses me is that all season, Jon has made it very clear that they need to bring the Wildlings south of the wall to keep them from turning into wights. Yet the little kid has basically ignored this point because he doesn't think it's worth it. So when they come back with the majority of the Wildlings slaughtered and turned into wights before their very eyes, and they find out Jon's concerns were completely legitimate, just to have that kid will stab the shit out of him anyway? Because I truly doubt the bastard letter is going to happen. Ah well, probably just going to end up being another inconsistency to add to the list within show-canon.

Pink Letter was written by the Mannis. :P

OT:  It kind of makes sense for the kid to be angry at Jon for bringing over Wildlings in peace.  His whole family was butchered right in front of him by the Thenns, so of course he's going to have that mental scarring and resentment of the Wildlings.

Serious / Re: Do you consider transgenderism a mental illness?
« on: June 05, 2015, 12:17:32 PM »
But no, I wouldn't call it a mental illness.  I feel that besides a mental issue, it's also a physical issue when it comes to transgenders feeling like they're an opposite sex.

Idk, I just get a bad taste in my mouth when people call this a "mental illness."

I'd be immensely pissed off if the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch gets
Spoiler
ganked by a punk-ass little kid.

But presumably the battle they showed last week will take place in some form in Winds of Winter, so I'm not really sure how to explain that timeline.
Um, no. The battle last week already happened in the books.
I don't remember that, where in the books exactly?

Spoiler
Cotter Pyke takes several ships at Jon's command to Hardhome to rescue the Wildlings there.  A few weeks later, Jon gets a letter from Cotter saying that the Wildlings are eating their own dead and dying, and that there are "dead things in the water."

I'm talking about an actual battle that will presumably take place in the books.
The books already had a Nights Watch vs Others battle at the Fist. The show cut it out so they're making up for it now

Fun fact:  D&D royally pissed off HBO for going overbudget with this episode.

Well, fuck what they think.  That episode was phenomenal.
