God, I forgot how much the AI sucked if you formed a defensive line (I usually have archers, slingers and catapults behind a defensive line of Spears with swords and axes covering the flanks). They usually just throw themselves at you and end up routing like the fucking plebs that they are.
Then I'll just have my mounted cavalry mop up the rest 
AI was never amazing when you're defending/sieging . On the field they're not as bad, but obviously won't do as well as real people.
It makes me long for the combat of Medieval 2, where the AI actually changed tactics according to how you play. ...and it makes me fear for medieval 3 of they continue using their current engine.

Just finished the Paz thing and got the last tape. Boy talk about morbid and a little touching. See, THESE are reasons Venom could easily go mad and turn into what he was in Metal Gear 1. This whole game has been nothing but loss to him, and finding out his whole life was a lie, but even so it was more about loss.
Maybe that is a big message Kojima, and the saying in general try to convey. If you're ready to get revenge, you better be ready to dig two graves. I think this game easily captures that.
Sadly we don't see him become mad, distraught, or just devastated to find out a big portion of his mid-life was just a lie. Instead, he just smiles and thinks, "Yeah let's do this!"

Exactly. I got this game to see the dark, downward spiral of Big Boss. Spoiler Not "BB" actually being some random gup we saw for all of five seconds and the only truly dark moment being mission 43.

I'm not as economically literate as you, so I didn't follow after the larger capital stock stuff. EDIT: And I misread the after-tax portion as people in all wealth classes paying more in tax.

I feel the games Kojima did exclusive writing for was a meh job. MGS 4 and 5.
And I know he has a lot of fallout with Konami which affected things, but does anyone feel Kojima got kinda up his own ass about his writing skills towards the end?
Him thinking Quiet's reasons for being justified is stupid, and a lot of MGS V's dialogue is terrible seeing as he fired the guy who did the localization for MGS1. He wanted more direct translation, which really made the dialogue suffer if you ask me. I always felt MGS1's dialogue flowed the best.
Does anyone else feel that we had a drastic cut in cutscenes as a big "fuck you" since people (rightly) complained about nearly 8 hours of cutscenes footage for MGS4?

The AR was overpowered in CE when it could take out a Ghost in a single magazine/clip/I don't give a fuck about the terminology right now.
It's fine as it is. Not too powerful, not complete shit. Just a meh-tier weapon.
