"Poverty kills more people than terrorism"
"There have only been 3200+ deaths since 9/11, fighting terrorists isn't worth it. Just let them slaughter us at will."

That is the true face of those who tell us there are billions of peaceful moderates. They do not care about you. You're nothing but a number to them and they don't want you destroying their precious little multicultural world. Except the only culture gaining anything from this is the Muslim community.

My town is right next door to a huge Islamic Community Center.

Not seeing any bombs, celebrations over terrorist activities, or anti-West hate come out of there. They actually warmly welcome people inside, courteous, and help out the neighboring communities.

Do you not value money or something? Why would you buy cod on release?

He bought it because he couldn't wait a week for BTB.

too bad glenn's dead
Spoiler
He isn't dead, and Negan wouldn't kill him in the show anyway. Morgan's taking that death, probably.

Spoiler
Still like to think he's dead, until they come up with some reasoning about him surviving a whole horde that surrounded him.

I roll my eyes at the "he's under the dumpster" theories because...well sure he can crawl under the dumpster, but what then?  The walkers will just crawl right after him.

All this junk weighs so much......and holy shit ghouls are fucking scary now...

Got jumped by a pack of them at a trainyard when I went to go solve a Raider problem.  They really fucked me up and cost me quite a few shotgun shells.

Also anyone come across a place called Thicket Excavations yet? It's....well, its nothing but a mass of blocky pixels, if I reload the game and it's gone, then all solved....but if it isn't I'll get some screens of it. Its a shame :/

Is that the huge excavation site right next to Concord?  If so, it's showing up fine for me.
I'm on PC, ultra settings (which is kind of a bummer), you?

Also, armless ghouls are reminding me of the Halo days....

PS4.  Surprisingly I haven't encountered any bugs or crashes yet.

Tomorrow this game is going to go from being called "Rise of The Tomb Raider" to "The Fall of The Tomb Raider".

Will wait and see, only one more day until it's release.
It will, though.

Tomb Raider is going to get rammed aside because of FO4.

Lord knows what Microsoft/Square were fucking thinking.

BUT AT LEAST I'M NOT SELLING MY SELF TO THE EVIL JAPS

In all seriousness though, when MGSV came out and we came to a consensus, I was the toughest on criticising Kojima. I said things like incompetent director or poor management credentials, etc.

It's one thing to love a franchise -- it's another to blindly accept its faults with critical thought.

People like you a shining ray of hope for our gaming generation.

I agree with many of the criticisms against Joe, don't get me wrong.

It's just that LC is so adamantly against this guy like he fucked his wife while wearing his Corporate Commander outfit and laughing like an a deranged racoon.

And I mean at the end of the day, clearly Joe isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. He's just a guy you play video games with. I'd probably be friends with him IRL tbh.
And I particularly enjoy the intros with him dressed up as characters with Other Joe and tries to reenact things that happen in the game. His Rambo, Ride to Hell, and Godzilla reviews are hilarious.

Last of Us with OtherJoe as Ellie was fucking amazing.

Yeah he does seem like a good guy to hang out with.  Hell he's accepting of creepy ass Delrith.

But as a reviewer, he just seems to be riding off his success.  I'd hate to be associated with him business-wise.

Don't bother. For some reason LC has this terrible bias against AJ. How someone could harbour such disgust for a random person making video game reviews on the internet is beyond me.

I used to love AJ, but the past couple of years it seems like he's been letting his success go to his head.  I've noticed in some of his reviews this year, he hasn't done anything of his research and has actually made several false claims, such as single player aspects in BFH not transferring over to the Multiplayer.  He's also gotten fairly lazy I think, as he promised more content this year but passed over several games because "what's been said about them has already been said."

Also, looking at the Halo 5 review he seems much more salty and was such a fucking asshole during his REQ rant.  It actually turned me off from him pretty damn hard.

Crazy tinfoil hat theory that probably won't make a lot of sense: The Gravemind has been in control/corrupted Cortana since the end of Halo 2. Everything you have been doing has been for his endgame. Crippling the Ark so it can't produce anymore Halos, defeating the one Forerunner general who could confront what's left of the Flood with an army of newly composed Prometheans, (yes, I know Mendicant is the one who led Chief to Requiem, but for what purpose then? Maybe he wanted Didact gone too, or to set the Librarian's plans in motion). Also "Cortana" leading you to Genesis is giving you a false sense of security and manipulating you until the Gravemind can lock you and Blue Team away because you are it's greatest threat. The Guardians are weakening worlds and leaving them ripe for infestation. Imagine a planet that's been totally EMP'd, and an army of Flood just landed from a plagued ship...

Gravemind may have been reforming on the Halo in the legendary ending and "Cortana" is breaking him out of containment. Maybe Gravemind in Halo 2 promised Cortana a cure for rampancy and unlimited knowledge: You will ask and I will answer. Okay, shoot. What if I told you it was possible to cure an AI from inevitable degradation? Unlimited knowledge... If they are not "one" then perhaps they are working together simultaneously.

It's a really far shot, but what if Gravemind knew that one way to reach the Domain was through the Mantle's Approach?

Imagine how you'd feel as Chief. If the Cortana we knew is completely gone, then you'd feel manipulated by the Gravemind and feel like a pawn in his galactic game all along while it was pretending to be someone you trusted.

If it is still the Cortana, then we'd not only feel betrayed by our friend, but she's working with the evil parasite you once tried to destroy. Does anyone at least think this is an interesting concept even if it'd have a lot of plot holes?

It's a very interesting idea, but 343 won't do it.

Anyways, here are my thoughts. Just beat the game like 10 minutes ago so wait a bit for the full, coherent review.

This game fucking sucked.

I'm not trying to hate on the game, but goddamn, it is bad. Not over(under?)selling it, it's probably the worst Halo to date so far.

Fan-fiction story, poor voice acting, TERRIBLE dialogue, uninteresting and generic characters, and boring level design all just leave a taste of disgust and want for something a little more substantial.

Nothing even happens over the course of this game. It's like Spartan Ops -- go here, shoot this, listen to dialogue. Repeat. Blue team's missions were a bit better, but Osiris missions were GOD AWFUL.

Probably didn't help that, from what I've heard, the story was written by the guy who did Spartan Ops for 4. <.<

I mean, I wanted Spartan Ops Season 2...but not like this.

EDIT:  Fun Fact:  Spartan Thorne was supposed to be on Osiris, but 343 threw him into the trash bin for  Buck.

LOL THORNE IS STILL GETTING CHASED BY A LONE JACKAL IN THE COMICS

Wait really.

I want to see it take a nice chunk out of the planet.

Remember the Forerunner machines that munched up large pieces of Earth?  Something like that times 10.

Retriever Sentinels? Earth already got a taste of them a couple years back.

Yeah, those things.

I think the humans would be scared shitless if Cortana just fired a small percentage of the Guardians' hidden weaponry on a big city if the Retriever and New Phoenix (I believe that's what the Didact targeted in Halo 4) disasters are still fresh in their minds.

Let's also not forget that colossal damn cliffhanger where Earth falls completely under Cortana's control in about 30 seconds.

This ain't even Covenant invasion or Flood tier. She can access just about any communications technology that exists and shut down the entire planet in one shot.

There's gonna be some fucking serious magic out of a hat bologna to even try and fight that.

Seems like 343 took too big of a jump there.

To be fair, she has about 90% of the AI's/technology on her side, which is like our smartphones and technology.  If they shut down at once, lots of people would be freaking the fuck out.

Oh and the Guardian Ex Machina can send out a sonic pulse that is also a giant EMP I guess...which is an asspull, considering Osiris should've lost their HUDs or communications when the pulses went off in their vicinity.

343 is probably jumping the gun because they wanted something big, and they knew the hype was real.  So we're all left with nothing but questions and disappointment.

You're mistaking things again. Two kinds of pulses.

The ones it gives off when it activates, which are seismic based. They're more like a concussive blast wave, which is why it knocked ships out of the air and leveled sections of the planet.

And the one it fired at Earth in orbit, an EMP pulse.

But what else can it do?  We're told that a single one can patrol a system but all we've seen it do is flap its arms around.  What kind of armament does it possess?

This

Other than the complete disconnect from all the damn good promotial material, this is definitely the biggest disappointment. We don't realy get to see what the Guardians really do other than reenact the E3 Reveal trailer and go into slip space.

They could have at least had one glass a city, destroy a fleet, throw a damn rock at a guy, literally anything to demonstrate it's power and make the damn tagline Guardians mean something.

To be fair it did mess up Meridian station...kind of...I don't think we ever hear any fallout other than that one woman on the comm line that didn't want to die.  But as far as I know, it was only that section of the planet that was affected in any way.

And thanks for correcting that, I just didn't know if the EMP and Concussive blasts worked in unison or if they were just separate attacks.  It just bothers me that we'll have to wait another few years (or to read any source material that may reveal more about the Guardians) to find out what else the titular vehicles can do.
