...is it bad that I actually kind of want to play this?  I mean, it's better than Infinity Ward's crap which is actually the REAL recycled shit.  Treyarch (and now Sledgehammer it seems) actually try to make it an enjoyable game.

Although this is what Advanced Warfare really is

Love that movie so damn much. Every time I see one of Neil's films, I always think this is what the Halo movie could have been.

Agree.  I don't understand why people bash on it, because I thought it was great.  They were probably expecting District 10 (which Neil is working on) and were saddened.  I mean, the CGI was great and the crap actually looked real, Matt Damon was pretty good with his acting, and Sharlto was fucking insane as Kruger.

Also, I think Neil IS ready for the Halo movie.  Did you see all those wanna-be Halo shots of Elysium? XD

Jimmy Carter was a MESS as a President...really one of the only things I liked was when he put solar panels on the White House (which were taken down by "Conservative" Jesus-on-Earth Ronnie Reagan.)

Mah tawp fo:

JFK:  The man led America to be THE Superpower during the Space Race.  Could've been one of the GREATEST Presidents of all time if he wasn't shot down by the Illuminati Templar FBI Mafia.

FDR:  You can hate the man for his "uber Liberal" policies, but he led America through a Great Depression and led us to severely kick German and Japanese ass.  I really didn't like the nuclear bombs being dropped as America opened a huge can of worms, but it had to be done, because the Japanese were going to fight to the last child if they had to.

Eisenhower:  I view him and Barry Goldwater as the last of a great generation of Republicans that I actually could agree with before the Evangelists, TEA Party, and extremists took over and shat over a decent party's legacy.  Eisenhower was one of WW2's greatest generals, Crusaded against Communism (granted during his time, it was "mandatory" that you're always anti-Communist or else you're a filthy heathen), and was forceful enough to make Korea, Isreal, and the UK shit themselves and stop whatever wars they were doing.  The man also had the gift of foresight, warning America against wasteful "military industry" spending, which we're doing now.

Thomas Jefferson:  Despite his sneaking about with Florida and his treatment of Native Americans, Jefferson launched the Lewis and Clark Expedition, purchased New Orleans, and eliminated wasteful spending and bureaucracy within the Federal Government.

I'd have to say Obama is a runner-up for me.  I would forever vote him over McCain/Palin and Romney any day, and he's actually made significant progress despite an unflinching Congress that, without hesitation, take hostages to further their own political goals.  He managed to make the first steps towards Universal Health Care, helped out with Studen Loans, and helped get the economy back on track for the most part.
Oi the credit for dropping the nukes has to go to Truman. FDR was long and dead and honestly I don't think FDR would have dropped them.

Kind of funny I missed over that as WW2 was one of my favorite, most touched-on subjects in Middle School >.>

Me: God, can I ask You a question?

God: Sure

Me: Promise You won’t get mad

God: I promise

Me: Why did You let so much stuff happen to me today?

God: What do u mean?

Me: Well, I woke up late

God: Yes

Me: My car took forever to start

God: Okay

Me: at lunch they made my sandwich wrong & I had to wait

God: Huummm

Me: On the way home, my phone went DEAD, just as I picked up a call

God: All right

Me: And on top of it all off, when I got home ~I just want to soak my feet in my new foot massager & relax. BUT it wouldn’t work!!! Nothing went right today! Why did You do that?

God: Let me see, the death angel was at your bed this morning & I had to send one of My Angels to battle him for your life. I let you sleep through that

Me (humbled): OH

GOD: I didn’t let your car start because there was a drunk driver on your route that would have hit you if you were on the road.

Me: (ashamed) God: The first person who made your sandwich
today was sick & I didn’t want you to catch what they have, I knew you couldn’t afford to miss work.

Me (embarrassed): okay

God: Your phone went dead bcuz the person that was calling was going to give false witness about what you said on that call, I didn’t even let you talk to them so you would be covered.

Me (softly): I see God

God: Oh and that foot massager, it had a shortage that was going to throw out all of the power in your house tonight. I didn’t think you wanted to be in the dark.

Me: I’m Sorry God

God: Don’t be sorry, just learn to Trust Me…. in All things , the Good & the bad.

Me: I will trust You.

God: And don’t doubt that My plan for your day is Always Better than your plan.

Me: I won’t God. And let me just tell you God, Thank You for Everything today.

God: You’re welcome child. It was just another day being your God and I Love looking after My Children.

Basically, God is a fucking asshole and would ruin your day just to "look after you" or some doohickey.
What a jerk, right? Keeping me alive and shit.

Well, he makes you wake up late, makes you late for work, starves you during your lunch period, and ruins your ONE moment of comfort.

What a dick.

Cut the hours of loyal employees who have been working there for years.  I work no hours next week and have worked only 25 this week.  And Walmart is STILL hiring temps.  Why?  Because they're cheap labor and Walmart could keep a huge amount of their own profits.

P.S. you should quit Walmart and go to Kroger. I had over four years of experience with them and they're a pretty good employer with lots of room for advancement.

There's little to no good paying jobs in this town outside of Big Retail.  Hence why I'm moving.

No one liked him. He is kinda like the stepdad that you put up with because your mom likes him.
Yeahhhh, you either really wish no one liked him or you have no idea what you're talking about.
Okay, lemme rephrase. No one really liked him other than other people liked him, but everyone pretended to like him, so no one really liked him. It was all a ruse.

I don't know what people had against him, he seemed alright to me.  Never went around picking fights or trollbaiting, from what I saw.

And I would have preferred Grievous over Maul any day.  Grievous was a fucking badass (I'm ignoring Lucas and The Clone Wars PUSSIFYING HIM).

Darth Maul got his ass sliced in half by a fucking PADAWAN.

Grievous was a bonafide Jedi killer, even murdering several Jedi in the span of a few minutes!

YouTube

Darth Maul's entrance was, granted, badass.  But Obi-Wan and Qui-gon Jinn just shrugged it off as another Sith.

Grievous caused the Jedi to downright SHIT THEMSELVES.

That would've been cool, but I've had a talk about a similar idea with a friend of mine, who practically studies Star Wars like a religion.  Kenobi would most likely not have been driven into a deep rage because from the time on after he was promoted to Knight, he was more calm, reserved.  Reason?  Obi-Wan is supposed to be the perfect role model of what a Jedi is supposed to be.

Though, I would admit that when Darth Maul first reappeared in the Clone Wars (ugh, that went downhill shortly after he returned) Obi-Wan was just treating it as a fucking joke instead of...you know, "Darth Maul's back, OH SHIT," or something rather.

Defending gay people. . . In Texas?

The world really is improving.

I've heard *some* reports that Texas may actually be turning a lighter shade of blue.  Not totally liberal, but more "open" if you get what I mean.

That'll make the secular, uber religious Conservatives absolutely livid. XD

In light of all the bad news we've been having, I stumbled across this article that makes me smile.

YouTube

Quote
In the video embedded below, an apparently intoxicated man attacks another passenger who he believes is gay. Within seconds, a number of bystanders leap into action to take the attacker down and hold him until police can handcuff him and lead him away.

The video is dated Thursday, October 23, and shows an unnamed angry man bellowing and threatening another passenger who is wearing a jacket and a pink shirt.

A tall man in a black cowboy hat approaches and asks the angry man what he’s upset about.

“Queers!” the man shouted. “That’s what I’m upset about. This faggot right here.”

After a tense exchange, the angry man kicks the man in the pink shirt, then slaps at him and grabs his hair.

A number of people rush to intervene as the man is tackled and put on the floor.

The man in the cowboy hat can be heard saying loudly, “No way! No way, you motherfucker. You ain’t doin’ that fucking shit, motherfucker.”

Indeed.

Watch the video, embedded below via passenger Andrew Kennedy:

http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/10/watch-bystanders-at-dallas-airport-stop-antigay-attack-by-piling-on-drunk-bully/

It actually kind of warms my heart to see people unite like that to help a fellow citizen instead of just standing there gawking with their cellphones out.

What shall you do with your free time?

Take care of my mother once she gets out of the hospital, probably play a few games here and there.  Thinking of fursuiting around town for Halloween.

What'd ya frack up to not get any hours?

By letting Walmart hire too many temps I suppose.

Remind your bosses that temps cost more than full time employees.

Quote from: Meta Cognition
People wouldn't pay wage-rates like that because there exists an equilibrium. After all, who would buy the capitalists' stuff if they were all paid $1 an hour?

Mathematics can't solve human emotions, Meta.  In 1950's-late 90's America then yes, equilibrium and all that stuff would be in place to solve money issues.  However, in late 00's going into the '10's, we see a shocking increase of "I want my money and I want to keep it all" mentality rising amongst Board of Directors and CEOs.

I'm pretty damn sure that they wouldn't pay their employees $1/hr, but I could see them dipping to $5.

But take for example what my Walmart is doing:  They're hiring an assload of temps for the holidays (way too many compared to last year) and they found out they hired too many.  Their solution?  Cut the hours of loyal employees who have been working there for years.  I work no hours next week and have worked only 25 this week.  And Walmart is STILL hiring temps.  Why?  Because they're cheap labor and Walmart could keep a huge amount of their own profits.

If minimum wage were to be abolished, imo, we'd see an increase of this ten-fold.  Cheap labor while raking in the money.

I will admit, Meta, I'm not as well versed in Economics as you are.  I was not given the chance to take that class in my senior year as my private school didn't have that class.
