State elections, yeah, it's possible and we saw it. White House? Nope.
Especially when John McCain was calling for Iran to be bombed back into the Stone Age (because that'd solve fucking everything), and Romney was...well, his 45% comment blasted his foot off like a shotgun blast. We saw this happen in 2010, the results will be the same: Republicans get a couple years to fuck themselves over, and a Dem comes in to slap them back down.

The thing is, though, they don't do that.
How not? I'll admit to not having completely read the Quaran (I have much better things to do with my life) but I do know that, like the Bible, there are passages for peace (especially towards Christians and Jews) and others calling for violence. There are a number of peaceful Muslims, especially ones that called out ISIS on their shit and perverting the Quaran's peaceful teachings. When I say that religious leaders and smart people bend the Quaran, I mean that they only take the violence aspect and use it on people who put Allah before anything else and essentially brainwash them.

What the fuck are we supposed to blame? Poverty? No criminal has ever murdered children for money.
They killed these kids because the majority of them were sons of soldiers. It was completely motivate by their beliefs and politics.
Thanks to overzealous and smart religious leaders that bend the Quaran to suit their own beliefs and directing these beliefs at the huddled masses, same with every religion. It will never happen in our lifetimes, but I can't wait for religion (or at the very least the extremist side) to be just completely eradicated.
