I'd say the recent one that comes to mind was a pretty horrible Christmas dinner...I think two years ago. Anyways, we usually trade years with a family friend hosting Christmas dinners. Our family friend's wife died in an accident that year, so he went back to Omaha to spend Christmas with his family, leaving us to go have dinner with his daughter and granddaughter.
Unfortunately, at the time the daughter was a vegetarian and the daughter was a vegan. No ham, no turkey, just salad was on my plate. My parents tried some of the vegan foods they made, but they ended up just nibbling them and then ignoring them altogether. So outside the salad and a couple of cookies, it was a pretty disappointing Christmas dinner. Thankfully my parents foresaw this, so when we got home we ended up having a pizza that was loaded with pepperoni. Man's gotta have his meat.

Hybrid is literally the best of both worlds. And like Sento just said (you fucking ninja): Yes, people have an issue with shitposting, but activity is activity, even if it's a badly worn out joke. I'm not the biggest fan of the shitposting/spam, but it does produce activity for the site and actually entertains people.
