You have a FA account Turkey? :P

I identify as a Turkey, so I'm not a furry, I'm a feathery. I'm offended and triggered by your lack of recognition of my fetish.

Biiiig difference between using a GameShark to use cheat codes, and getting a pirate mod for Skyrim to enhance your fun.
you can use gameshark to enhance your fun

No, your comparison still sucks.

>GameShark exploits cheats

>Mods take existing material and transforms it into a new feature, like the Lich Wraith form or a content creator can create a brand new questlines for you.

You might literally be the most retarded user on here.
That isn't cheating. Like, at all.

Quote
cheat

verb

1. act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage
2. avoid (something undesirable) by luck or skill
except it is

i guess gameshark and action replay shouldn't be called "cheating devices" because you don't have to use them or "cheating" under that extremely shitty, narrow definition

Biiiig difference between using a GameShark to use cheat codes, and getting a pirate mod for Skyrim to enhance your fun.

Oh god, your shitty quote blocking fucked up my post you retarded piece of shit

not to mention, using mods is basically cheating
How?
How would something like a graphics mod be "cheating"? How is adding more content like questlines "cheating"? How is fixing problems with the gameplay "cheating"?
because they weren't in the original game

Back to Skyrim:  Again the consoles forced Bethesda to limit their options when it came to things like the Civil war and graphics.

They eventually came out with improved graphic packages that modern further improved upon.

Came from the name of my fursona, with the first name being--of course--my real first name.  The McIntyre came from the pride of my Scottish heritage.

Then I became Voro 'Cinotai, which was my Elite name back in my first Halo clan that just stuck with me.

It's fanfic. You don't decide anything, they do.
It's their own story built off of yours.
And why should I be okay with it?

Because you might as well accept it.  It's going to happen, you can't stop it unless they're making a profit on it without your knowledge or consent.

As an amateur writer, I don't find it insulting if my book gets enough fanfare to the point where people can take characers, places and events from my world and pour their own creative juices in it.
That doesn't mean anything to me. Just because you don't "find" it insulting doesn't mean it's not an insult.
And just because it may not have been intended as an insult, doesn't make it not an insult, either.

But if I don't take it as an insult, then it's not an insult.

Gaming / Re: The purpose of mods

You should feel good that your book has a big enough following that people will add their own creations to it for Fanfiction.
Why? It's insulting. Not to mention, plagiarism.

That really doesnt mean that they dont 'respect their own art'...
By my standards, it does. If I wrote a book, and someone edited it, adding a bunch of My Little Ponies, and tried to publish it? I'm not supposed to take umbrage with that? I'm supposed to LET him to that? I'm supposed to ENCOURAGE that?

Geez, you remind me of George R. R. "Sourpuss" Martin

But Lemon, art and stuff.  ART.

Modding ruins art with....MORE ART!

So what if developers encourage modding? Like Bethesda with their dedicated modkit.

And don't forget Bohemia Interactive is actually helping out with the DayZ mod that some schmuck in his basement made.

Nothing can top Christian Bale's Terminator freakout.  But this killed me:

"I AM A PRO." -Dennis Quaid

Does being a pro consist of wearing the same grumpy face in every single movie and not admitting to the fact you're a wanna-be Harrison Ford?  Get the fuck out Quaid.

It may have been your creation, but it is not your right to force people to do with it what you want them to do.
Who said I'd force anyone to do anything? All I said is that I'd take it offensively. Because it IS offensive.

If I make a game, everything that's in the game is how I'd intend it to be. No, there are no beach volleyball courses. There are no fucking pirates. My game is my game. You fuck with my game, you're fucking with my art, and I take that offensively.

AND then you sell that game to the public, who then do their own artistic creations within your game in the events it becomes too stale.

Caring about Anakin's seduction is, in my opinion, a nitpick, and something that can be overlooked very easily.
its the single most important plot point of the entire series! it should be harshly criticized for being poorly thought-out.

If you hate the movie and the prequel era so much, why bitch about it online? Why put all this time and effort into something that you dislike? Wouldn't you just ignore it? It makes no sense logically. Unless...you secretly love the prequels, don't yah Squidward?

Then you really do not pay attention, or your taste in games is very, very pitifully small.
You realize games have only been $60 since the seventh generation, right?

You realize a lot of those $60 7th gen games were good, right?

There are games that are worth the $60 I pay up front
I really don't think there are any of those.
