Also just beat an Olimar as Ryu in a tournament, speaking of.
He actually wasn't the typical Side-b spamming and grabbing Olimar, he was actually creative.
What even is Olimar's side b?
He basically throws his pikmin at his opponent, and, depending on what type of pikmin it is, it deals a pretty good amount of damage. Any and every For Glory Olimar does this to rack up damage and just do a little Side and/or Up smash to end the stock, but this Olimar wasn't doing that and was clever. I'm surprised I beat him.

It's been too long since we've had a Smash tournament. I'll leave signups open until the 23rd (whenever midday is for you eastern Ameriburgers) so plenty of time to join up! If there's enough interest I might run a doubles bracket.
I'll try and dig up the results from the past tournaments so I can do seeding properly, but if I can't I'll just seed randomly.
Rules:
-Double Elimination Bracket, will run with pools if we get enough entrants.
-All items will be banned.
-2 Stocks
-All sets are best of 3.
-Stage and Character counterpicking will be in effect. I suggest keeping in touch with your opponent during the set via PMs or some other chat.
-If you win a match and decide to change character, you must do so before your opponent.
-Dave's stupid rule will be in effect (if a set goes to game 3, you may not counterpick to a stage you have already won on unless your opponent consents to the counterpick.)
Stages:
-All sets are to be started on Smashville for game 1
-Battlefield, Final Destination (any Omega works too), Lylat Cruise, Town & City and Duck Hunt can be used as counterpicks, unless you wish to play on Smashville again.
-Dream Land N64 is allowed if both participants have it.
-Due to Smash 4's Jank stage picking mechanic in 'With Friends,' messaging each other with stage counterpicks is best so you can both vote for said stage.

I like how people are saying that IW won't be 100% Futuristic movement because this is "solid proof" to them, but in reality, the player who is playing in the gameplay didn't utilize it at all just to not anger the "fans". CoD is one of the prime examples of how a community/fanbase can kill its own franchise. But, how do you think of the gameplay = Opinion?

I know I'm late to say this 3 days afterwards, but this was indeed a pretty good EVO this year. I was kinda hyped towards Sm4sh and Melee a litle more, but great overall.
It's nice that we are having diversity among Tops 8's now in Sm4sh.

The weapon sway doesn't really bother me cause in CoD 4 your guy's movement was stiff as hell.
I'm just worried that they brought back the same stupid sniper zoom view that they introduced in Ghosts and kept in later games. It was a completely unnecessary change and ruined sniping for me. Don't fix what isn't broken.
Exactly. No, I doubt they are that stupid to change the sniping zoom. But this was legit cancer.
