Rosalina is the most annoying and easiest tank in the game, but I actually know little on how to use her and I'm terrible with her.

Ironic huh?
Hard to deal with a local/online Rosalina? For a while I knew Sheik was the best in the game (pre-patch) but she was so fast I couldn't control her and moves like Bouncing Fish felt really unintuitive. It took me playing Melee for a few months and not playing a character with a Sword/items to be able to get comfortable lmao.

I think the Link vs Rosa matchup is easily the hardest counter of any 2 characters in the entire series and watching Dabuz play gets me salty af because of all the cheap looking shit he does with Luma. But tbh I don't see her as annoying. There's a Rosalina in my local scene (he actually introduced me to it) who I couldn't beat until a few months ago. I beat him the day I picked up Sheik (after getting bodied a fair bit by a little mac as learning what Sheik's kit is).

Tbh I think Rob is the most annoying and cheapest tank in the game. Now those niggas give me some trouble and literally everything kills.

I'm really hoping they actually add more to BTB

I think they just added new BTB maps, and updated old ones.

Going to Smash Conference in Orlando the 23rd. Gonna avenge my boy Fwed and take out M2K.

LETS GO

Ahh you gonna face M2K.

Well, provided we actually meet in bracket. Which is slim since this is a very stacked Florida tournament, I could very easily fight Nick Riddle or someone else. Or buster hard and not do well at all.

But I think I've found my consistency finally. Weeklies really helped by making me play my best on demand or deal with loser's bracket. This last weekly I was put in losers by our Cloud player only cuz I SD'd, but I definitely had the final game solid. Won with a grand finals reset (for the 2nd time) so it's k.

So you know what you're doing then.

Nice

Is there logic to throw in a celebrity every CoD game from now on and hope it lessens the rage this game already got from its "fans"?

Just finished dead last again at my Melee weekly. I'm actually pretty happy with what I did though.

Normally I play pretty brain dead/autopilot with my Sheik but I'm pretty comfortable with movement. Tonight it was just fucking wack though, the Controller felt like a brick and it really didn't want to do anything I tried, like it would only buffer half of the inputs the game is normally capable of. I was dropping every single SHFFL and Short-hop Special despite being able to do both off muscle memory on the same controller for the last few weeks. I got close to reverse 3-0ing a Samus I normally have trouble with though, I finally figured him out. I mostly needle camped and f-tilted his missiles out of the way and I think once I get comfortable with movement again I'll finally be able to do better at the Tournaments. Got my head back in the game and it feels great

I tell him if he keeps talking smack I'll double footstool him, which I've never even attempted before.
Spoiler
I double footstooled him.
Footstools are the rudest thing in smash tbh

just play fox. Upthrow upair. Guaranteed salt.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Ayyy.
Man Big House 5 was such a hype tournament. I wonder how long ZeRo will stay as one of the top players. Ken's dominant streak ended in '07 but he still goes top 32 consistently.

Indeed.

I don't think he will ever drop from the top/best players, let alone the best, in the Sm4sh metagame. Even if he does/or retires, I think ZeRo will always remain a legend in the Sm4sh competitive community, and the fighting community in general.

tbh, him and m2k, personally, have done a lot to contribute to the competitive scene in both Melee and Wii U

ESPN:

Quote
Team SoloMid's Gonzalo "ZeRo" Barrios, the most dominant Smash for Wii U player in the world, has been included in the Guinness World Records Gamers Edition 2017 for a win streak of 53 tournaments (actually 56) in a row. The record run, stretching from 2014 to 2015, could be the most dominating streak in modern video games, not just Super Smash Bros.

The incredible run spanned from November 29th, 2014 (UGC Biweekly #17) to October 4th, 2015 (The Big House 5) and features some tough times, including possibly the greatest losers bracket run in all of fighting games at The Big House 5. After falling in the second round of pools and then sweeping to the losers semifinals, ZeRo looked like he was vulnerable for the first time in a long time against Jason "Anti" Bates. Then he brought it back from the brink 2-1 to come back and win before sweeping his way through the loser's finals. In the grand finals he would sweep Nairoby "Nairo" Quezda 3-0 to reset the bracket before again falling to a 2-1 deficit. The unthinkable didn't happen that day; ZeRo somehow came back from the brink once more to defeat Nairo and win his 56th tournament.

Guinness began publishing a Gamers Edition in February 2008 and has continued to cover the records of video games and esports since then. This was the first inclusion of ZeRo's record breaking streak in the series. ZeRo has been a top Smash player across many titles including Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Project M.
