I think if this forum was advertized a little more, we'd have more members and have some more lively discussion. What kind of advertising are we doing presently, if any at all?

I don't watch supernatural horror. I believe watching the said movies open demonic doors into your life and pave the way for torment. I've experienced some spooky shit in my life. I don't need any more.

You can do better than this.
I dont maintain my pariah status if not

I have found the perfect niche
Doesn't it hurt to type such idle words all the time? You can at least try to be a little more edgy and add some opinions. Increase the discussion value. There's no point in shitposting if you don't have fun. Even assposting was better than this.

abandon everything and get a cute Asian waifu

So many lonely people in Asia. We should just start importing them over here to the U.S. A mail-order asian spouse service would be wildly popular.
We have anime pillows.
Anime pillows can't cook and do math.

Well I think I'd go for financial security. A secure future is nice to have, even if it is distant. Once you're financially secure you can find a field you want to get into and make the world a better place without having to worry about fincances. That, and you can learn just about anything you want. So many things you can learn how to do at local community colleges for courses under 100$ It's up to you. Financial security would likely extend your capabilities of creative fulfilment, but only if you still have that creativity several years down the line. It all come down to you. You know yourself better than any of us here on the forums. I'd say imagine yourself several years down the line with either scenario and go from there.

The Flood / Recommend me a movie
« on: September 16, 2017, 05:29:45 PM »
Bored polishing boots. Please recommend me a movie to watch. The usual criteria with me. No supernatural elements or themes, excessive sexuality, excessive gore and in this particular case, something that requires no real mental investement. I want a movie that I can keep up with easil without having to have my eyes glued to the screen. As you can imagine, one needs to look at the boots occasionally while polishing them. So if you could recommend me something, it would be appreciated.

Shitty people aren't fun, but don't become one of them. You are the only thing that can bring about what you want to see in the world. Don't expect it from others.

Baccano!
Is Baccano not based on supernatural themes? I believe I saw the beginning of an episode or two and there was quite a bit of supernatural hoobla going on.
Only supernatural stuff is people drank some shit that let them live forever. That's it. Rest is rooted in realtyish.
well, that's not all there is to the immortality... the devouring bit is pretty huge. there's also the homunculi, like ennis. and the demon who gave the elixir/recipe to the alchemists aboard the advena avis, though he was really just a super old homunculus with crazy powers. and i mean, you cant really call what vino does realistic at all. the whole series is rooted in a kind of supernatural ether, they just play it somewhat loosely by putting the focus on unraveling the characters' actions and how they interact with one another.
How can it even be perceived as not supernatural?
it cant
Then Luciana lies like a rug

You watch kids shows
A:TLA and A:TLoK are not kids shows. I have seen the Hot Wheels movies, but only because they were playing for children and I had to be there. They were pretty good. Acceleracers was especially dark. I don't know what you could be refering to other than that.

Fuck, I'm pretty sure those are the facial features of a baby
Maybe on Tinkerbell, but not on Silvermist.
Nope, Tinkerbell looks like a teen, and Silvermist looks like some alien baby-faced woman. Do you like Silvermist for her body, or for her face? Is it body and wings? 'cause if so, there are hotter fairies and you know it. Face it, you're into literal babyfaces.
Really I like her over the other fairies mainly because of personality. That and tha asian look she's got going on. I don't really think about it too much. I don't know how you see a baby face.

Not an anime but a Japanese TV show in partnership with Netflix. "Million yen women", really surprised me. It might not be your thing, but two or three episodes in and I had to finisj it. There won't be a another season so I can say it ends properly.
I'll look into it.

91 Days meets every criteria you listed. There's a good amount of violence but not really over the top, no dumb anime tropes or supernatural shit, and the story is above the low bar set by almost everything else ever to come out of Japan.
What is it about? Is it on Netflix?
