1) Work-from-home mandate. So people can buy places in remote towns.
2) Rapid construction of massive apartment blocks, so people have a place to live in now and drop the rent price down.
Now that everyone has a place to live and the rent is fair, ramp-up construction of houses.
People who want to buy can start saving and people who do not, simply rent.
Reduces the competition between prospective buyers and eliminates those who want to rent for life from the property-buying market.

I lost all respect for Bungie when they fired Marty for doing his job.
How dare a composer make music for our product?!

Recently watched a presentation of their current CEO (I think its a video from like 2015) and he said "Speed is more important than quality"

Now Baldur's Gate 3 was being criticized by some AAA devs because how dare they launch a finished game in 2023! Over-delivering! This industry was going down the shitter for a while, I think we reached the stinkiest shits at this point.

I wish there was a push to automate all the boring stuff and not just the creative stuff.

wow, hope you're enjoying it.
Don't let Two Betrayals and The Library get you down.

I'm slowly grinding away at my back log. Finished Quantum break this week. Now its onto Silent Hill (PS1) and Dishonored (PC).

Just like Prey, Quake 2 and Metal Gear survive - you create a totally new game, but give it the name of an already existing game.
You are setting the wrong expectations because people instantly start comparing this with the older game(s) and expect certain things to be present in this new one.
Why TF could they not call it something else? Is registering a new IP/TM really that expensive ? Could they not come up with a new title?

Fallout 2 complete.

Oooh boy. I should have played it towards the end of my backlog.
Its best taken slow in order to get a chance to explore the world and complete the many-many quests. At least now I know more about the Enclave and their backstory.

Next up: Prey (the Arkane one)

Still driving my 08 ford focus mk2.
My father (who lives in iceland, where electricity is dirt cheap) had a hybrid (which he barely topped up with fuel, 90% of the time drove it in E mode) and now bought a 100% EV. He definitely prefers evs.

I want one just so I don't have to worry about oil changes, timing belt changes, fan belts, spark plugs, exhaust hinges and any other parts that come with having a combustion engine.

Money is the issue at the moment. cars are expensive and doubly-so for EVs. The affordable ones (Nissan leaf) are pig ugly. I'll wait for the second-hand market to get more stock.

2022 was so mixed for me. I am always excited about the celebration of a year's end and greeting the new one, but this year I felt kind of empty / exhausted. I hope 2023 will have a lot more positive things but more importantly a lot less negative things.

Got promoted at work. Got married. So far so good, right?
Five days later, cunt putler starts a war and a month later my closest friend with whom I grew up and who was basically my brother, took his own life. That phone conversation with his mother was so painful.
He appears in my dreams almost daily. Overall, fuck 2022.
I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I can't imagine the pain you've been going through since that day. I hope 2023 will be much better to you!
Thank you.
I hope 2023 will be better for all of us.

Finally completed the main quest of Fallout 4. I have dome a lot of side-questing and there is no doubt more stuff to do but I feel that it won't be worth much other than some XP and an epic weapon or armor piece. Just about 80 hours in and I feel like I had enough Fallout 4 for this year.
Now resuming my Fallout 2 campaign.

It's way cheaper to eat healthy than like shit.
If you have time + motivation to cook.

People working min wage probably have crazy shifts that subtract time and motivation. So they would resort to the fastest meal they can afford - which is most likely not a healthy one.

Just finished Area 51. Its a mixed bag. Someone definitely cared, with the number of lore items you have in the game and the variety in environments. They even got David Duchovny to voice the main guy. The plot is disjointed. If you would ask me "what is the current mission/level about or what is your objective?" I'd have a hard time coming up with an answer.
At least it wasn't boring like asscreed.
Now onto Fallout 4 and 2.

To-do, sorted by nearest to completion:
Area 51 (PS2)
Fallout 4
Fallout 2
Bully
Resident Evil 1

i plan to play fallout 4 sometime. i completed 3 a few days ago, and i loved it along with new vegas a while back. fallout 4 goty (that comes w/ all the dlc) is on sale for $10, so i might pick it up to play god knows when
I accidentally started an add-on mission (Far Harbor). I think I have like 70 hours logged and I'm just at the Detective valentine quest and now I have to do everything on this damn island...
F4 is nice but I miss the bigger dialogue trees. Now all you get are four options.

Forced myself to beat the last mission of Assasins creed. My god did it get boring after a while.
Climb tower, press y, drop down, press X to counter. Repeat.
If other games are anything like this, I do not want to go near another asscreed game ever again. At least its off my backlog list.

To-do, sorted by nearest to completion:
Area 51 (PS2)
Fallout 4
Fallout 2
Bully
Resident Evil 1

Is it better than Marathon: Infinity?
You mean the old Bungie fps? I never played it but its probably nothing like Destiny 2. The only similarity is that its in first person and you shoot guns. Two totally different games.

2022 update

Complete:
Duke Nukem Time to kill

To-do, sorted by nearest to completion:
Assassin's Creed 1
Area 51 (PS2)
Fallout 4
Fallout 2
Bully
Resident Evil 1

My god is AssCreed 1 boring. How did a sequel get greenlit in the first place? I can only play it in short bursts. Its best when you are progressing the story but I feel like there is too much padding with the dang tower climbing.

Halo Reach, I liked it at launch and I still like it now.
Resident Evil Survivor
Metal gear survive - I wrote a review on Steam for it to help others enjoy it. Just erase any and all associations you think this game has with MG franchise and play it as its own game.

I heard that apparently it's mainly spreading through sexual contact, so we're all safe right?
Apparently there was some rave in Spain that is now considered a super-spreader event.
The party-goers then travelled home and started showing symptoms + spread it around some more.
