If it's not STEM then it's not worth it.
I'm going to be laughing in ten years when the market is flooded with STEM majors who can't get jobs, and us Business majors are as secure in the beauracracy as ever.
Will you be doing all this laughing during your daily bus journey to your burger flipping job?
I just said that I would be secure in the beauracracy, as in, even if the free market fails me, I will still be your boss.

Now, tell me what your STEM degree is going to do for you if you don't know how to read?
And also can't get a job because all of the research positions have been soaked up by those who got their STEM degrees when nobody actually had one?
There will never be sustainable jobs for non-STEM

The Medical field is never going away. There will always be sick or injured people.

Well you say that, but I know some pretty determined biologists.

Suppose you hypothetically make disease a non-issue. Well what about physical damage to the body?
Broken bones from a car wreck, decaying joints, some things are inevitable.
Augmentations

Put your Halo 5 fanfictions away, this is a serious discussion (in The Flood yeah yeah I know)
I was serious you fag

uh-oh lemon is sour

STEM will prevent illness in the future you plebe

No, STEM will keep that from happening so there will be endless medical jobs. Have you not watched the Family Guy episode where a cure for cancer is made, then hidden and used for profit?
Okay Mr non-STEM

That's actually: Mr. Former STEM major who rebelled against the system

and on the medical field note: Job Security ^______^

I don't really think these types of threads belong on the Serious board.
yeah because this totally isn't a serious discussion or anything

it would be a lot better to ask important life advice in the forum where the majority of responses would be regurgitated memes and 'kill yourself' comments
I'm sure there's somewhere better than the Flood to put it, but that place is not here.

I started out in Engineering, but again, bad professors were forcing me to pay out of pocket to retake classes with better teachers. I'd usually pass with an A or B on the second attempt, but once you've failed 3 classes because of the stupidest reasons you get pretty tired of the bullcrap.

I had a teacher lie about the Final Exam review. Then when I asked her why she lied, she said "oh I was kidding".
OH YEAH? WELL YOU AS A PROFESSOR SHOULD KNOW NOT TO "joke" ABOUT EXAMS. Firstly, nobody laughed, and secondly, you cost me a couple hundred dollars because of your stupidity. GR8 JOB M8

Nah, let the staff pick possible candidates and evaluate them. Nothing left to just chance.
It's unlikely that any user in this forum will ever reach 100k posts. This would just be a fun long-term prize. It's would take several years unless a major no-lifer walked into Sep7agon. Elegiac and Byrne have only about 17k posts each.

Yeah, well guess what? That person becomes a mod based on activity, not their qualifications.
Elegiac would take 3.66 years to reach 100k and Byrne would take 3.4 years to reach 100k with their current post rates maintained.

And if they stick around long enough to reach those?
They get the position? This is extremely unlikely to happen anyways since Sep7agon will probably die before then. It's just a fun idea.

I care that the end result is simply retarded, I don't care too much if it's reachable in a timely manner or not.
Neither Elegiac nor Byrne would make bad moderators.
elegiac is an oversensitive man-child
Byrne would reach 100k posts 3 months before Elegiac.

Statistically speaking, doesn't negate the fact this idea sucks.
Might as well lock this thread too lol
It's a good idea, honestly spoken.
Notice how you're the only one who thinks that?
So I'm the only one here who isn't crazy?

Okay.
Yeah, you're just retarded instead.
>is a Britbong

Gotta get dat liberal arts degree.

Psych. May as well go full pseudoscience to compliment your liberal arts degree.

Nah, I got the Music Production Degree so I could follow my passion. My Bachelor's will actually be my fallback, so I can get a good job. I'm slightly considering computer science, but I don't want to deal with more math professors and waste my time.

I failed 2 classes and had to retake and pass them due to incompetent professors.

have you ever sexted anybody? or something similar to?

don't u hate it when u listen/watch a creepy video at night?

whatchu gonna do over the weekend?

when was the last time u felt proud/relieved of a project u finished?

Never sexted

I enjoy scary movies, but a few have really messed with my head at night.

I'm working a lot over the weekend, especially Mother's day. But monday I'm hanging out with a girl I might start dating soon, and I'm excited!

Felt proud of a project......ok. Well it's not done, but I worked with a coworker on that single I mentioned in a thread yesterday I think. We're halfway done, and we've got strings added, just gotta do a little tweaking. I'm incredibly proud of it, because I recorded everything but drums and strings myself and mixed it. My guitars, vocals, etc.

Why not Ursology?

They don't offer that at the college I'm going to. It's our local FSU campus, not the actual university in Tallahassee.
It's the study of bears, Rocketman..

Psychology or Accounting.

Psychology has a gigantic amount of competition.

I don't plan on getting anything past a Bachelors right now, screw doing 6-8 more years of school
