Other than very rare occurrences, I don't see it regarding moderation. As for members, I think what you call circlejerking is simply them getting along. If there are fights, its called "drama". If we get along, its called "circlejerking". I disagree but oh well

One big thing here: you can lift weights all day long and never change.
If you don't eat right too, it doesn't matter. If there are people around that are knowledgeable, talk to them and try to get on a meal plan (I'm actually doing this thursday. A friend of mine is a bodybuilder). Diet is where the results really come in. You don't have to spend money on proteins either, if you eat enough then food will cover what those supplements would do.

If i'm not mistaken, chief was onboard the ship for a while between Halo 2 and 3 trying to fight his way to Truth and he only jumped out because he was making no progress and Truth was finaly landing.

That's not bad writing as much as it is bad line delivery. The line itself if fine.
The lines you stated could have easily been made not as shitty by their delivery as well. I bet if Miranda had ripped an assault rifle out of some marine's hands and loaded it up while she delivered "To war" in a more convincing tone, it'd have been just fine.
