so you dont have any quantifiable empirical evidence, you just got weirded out by a personal experience.
What did you expect? If you go look up any site about the ranking system it'll say the exact same thing as every other site and still not answer your question: "Ranks are determined by wins/losses not individual K/D" Other people are saying the same things as me, they lost more in a playlist but got a higher rank. BC for example.
