Are you 14

No, I just despise spoilers with a burning fucking passion.

Fiction of any kind is the only thing that makes the world tolerable. When someone ruins that for anyone, I'm bound to lose my shit.
You realize the way you've been sperging out eclipses all of the shit that's been going on with deci, right?

You realize that isn't even close to being true? Nothing beats Deci.
That's not what Door and Kenny said.

That isn't very convincing
Nuka and Vien didn't say anything to contrast it either.

Ok?

NO THANK YOU.

When characters die, they need to stay dead.

Well I don't mean bring them back to life in some stupid way. But instead have him survive while everyone thinks he is dead, and he be taken prisoner somewhere or something. I dunno.

I think we are throwing out the possibility of Han Solo surviving. That would be a shocker right there.

Think Han Solo finally got killed off like Ford wanted in the past? JUST KIDDING HE'S FUCKING BACK BITCHES.

I mean, all of this is irrelevant if JJ had decided to kill Han in Ep. 7 from the get-go. But I just don't feel like that was the plan.
Was it not? Didn't Ford state he wanted to die in the movie?

Yeah he did, but that doesn't mean JJ had planned to have Harrison die anyways. He could've shown him the script and Ford was like "Nah, I wanna die."

If that's the case, he's a cunt. If the script was unaltered, then I have no qualms with anyone. I'll just choose to criticise Abrams for the handling of his death.

It's hard to say. JJ Abrams was writing this movie for a while and Han Solo is obviously vital to the plot. He's in almost all of the movie. So without Harrison Ford they wouldn't have even had the script they wrote.

So whatever they planned on doing with Han Solo, well they needed Harrison Ford.

Also, can we talk about the music for a moment? And how crappy it was?

The trailers had way more badass music than the movie. Nothing new felt any good here.

The music was great to me. Didn't have that super epic trailer music vibe, but it had the sound of the Original Trilogy.

Ford wanted Han to die because he thought it would add some real emotional punch to the climax of the trilogy, and didn't see a way for Solo to be written in future installments.

Han should've died in RotJ, yes. But he didn't, and here we are were.

Quote
Though I think as much as it sucks, Solo had to die. Because Ren can't complete his turn to the Dark Side if he's conflicted about his father, so killing him was the only way. Solo's death was vital to Kylo Ren's story arc, and Solo died trying to redeem his son.

Sure, he had to die eventually. But it felt rushed the way they did it. Han should've been given more screen time or something, I don't know. It felt way too quick for me.

Yeah.... I personally wish he didn't die. Like you said, he didn't die in ROTJ and plenty has changed, perhaps his death wasn't needed now.

Not sure about the rushed aspect, but he could have died way differently. Chewie died in the book "Vector Prime" by saving one of Han's kids then being left by the Falcon so it could escape. He let out a roar and beat his chest as the moon crashed into Sernpidal.

I dunno, something epic like that.

I don't think Harrison Ford hates Star Wars or Han Solo. He just felt the character's time had come, his death was needed to push the story. If they wanted him to have some kind of role in Episode VIII with Mark and Carrie I'm sure he'd do it.

As one of the main characters in the biggest franchise of all time, you have an obligation to your fans to follow through on what the director thinks is the best plan for the universe. They're the ones that made you a shit ton of money. They're the ones that cherish you. You owe it to them.

Because you don't feel like making another movie (whilst getting paid more money than some people make in their life) is not proper justification to change JJ's plans.

If Harrison Ford didn't do the movie, Mark Hamill said he wouldn't have either.

You have to wonder whether or not Harrison Ford made JJ kill Han off, or if it was part of the plan the entire time.

I mean, I understand the obvious parallel drawn between Han and Obi-Wan from ANH (both are father-figures for the main character, who see them both get cut down by the main antagonist with their own eyes), but it just strikes me as a bit rushed.

I guess the only way we'd know for sure is if Harrison makes an appearance in flashbacks or maybe the Boba Fett movie that's coming.
Ford didn't want it. It sounds like they're very very roughly following EU with some characters, so you'd think that if Ford was okay with doing more, he wouldn't die immediately upon return. I mean, it's possible that was the plan all along, but it sounds very unlikely.
Harrison Ford has wanted Han Solo to die since like Episode 4 or 5.

Ford wanted Han to die because he thought it would add some real emotional punch to the climax of the trilogy, and didn't see a way for Solo to be written in future installments.

Though he changed his tune after 2010 on Solo, and when talking about Solo in VII he said he was interesting because of the time that had passed.

Though I think as much as it sucks, Solo had to die. Because Ren can't complete his turn to the Dark Side if he's conflicted about his father, so killing him was the only way. Solo's death was vital to Kylo Ren's story arc, and Solo died trying to redeem his son.

It wasn't flashy, it wasn't epic, but he died doing the right thing.

The saddest part is that he will never share screen time with Luke again...and when Luke was mentioned he seemed angry at first. "Yeah, I knew him..."

I didn't get the feeling he was angry, just disappointed at everything that happened.

Quote
A 20-year-old man landed in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital after he spilled out the ending of the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens at a US theatre, a media report said.

The man, Raymond Chatfield, walked out of a premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Thursday night and shouted out a major spoiler in front of at least 100 people waiting in the lobby for the next show, thegoodlordabove.com reported on Friday.

“I was waiting in line to see the evening show. Then this kid walks past the line, shouts out the ending and starts laughing. He totally ruined the movie for everyone,” a witness said.

Three men, who were waiting in the lobby, donning suits of Star Wars characters, assaulted and critically injured the man. He was later admitted in the ICU in Bakersfield city, California.

“I saw it all. This guy shouts out the spoiler right? Within 15 seconds, he was on the ground, getting beat up three men,” another witness said.

“At first, the crowd was cheering the assaulters, and I think that made it worse. They beat him up for five minutes, kicking and punching him in the gut,” the witness added.

Police did not arrest the assaulters and allowed them to watch the movie as planned.

“We view this as justifiable assault,” a police officer said.

Daily reminder that Boba Fett was capable of besting Darth Vader and actually had the opportunity to kill him, despite not being force-sensitive whatsoever.
fucking what and when?

There was a storyline where Boba Fett was tasked with finding a sacred gemstone or something before the Empire found it. He ended up succeeding in that regard, but Vader cut him off near the end of his escapade and demanded that he give him the stone. He refused and got into a fight with him.

At one point, Boba was able to disarm Vader after throwing the stone into a pit of lava (Vader dropped everything to use the force and secure the stone before it actually hit the lava), and he had to opportunity to slice him down right then and there, but didn't want to have the Empire on his ass for the rest of his life.

This was before Disney, though.
Oh, sounds like Boba.

Not really. He didn't wilhelm scream into a sand pit made of teeth

Poe would be a good hero for Flight Squadron, but then the First Order doesn't have an equivalent

Phasma perhaps?

He could spin his baton around like a helicopter, that'll make him fly

What was the thing? Could stop a lightsabre?

Yeah he was pwning Finn until Han one-shotted him :(
That Stormtrooper showed fucking promise, what a shame.

Darth Maul beat the shit outta Pre Vizsla

This fight?

YouTube

Oh shit, they didn't fight with lightsabers. I could only remember the part where Darth Maul just kicks him around near the end.

I didn't expect a Mandalorian who isn't a force user to beat Maul anyways.
Maul could have easily killed him without a fight but I think Maul wanted to primarily humiliate Pre Vizsla in front of his Deathwatch buddies.

I'd say so
