They'll either shield (which I can punish), use the lemons at point blank or the leaf blades, do his strong up-b to get me away or possibly kill me depending on damage, or use a fair which basically I can shield against but it slides me back to where he can go back to shooting again.Then it's a rinse and repeat process until I can actually get some good hits in.
I fought a really good player at the tourney and that is all he did, so much work to get in then I had to hope I landed the right moves.
See if you live near that Mega Man guy. You could probably learn a lot about Fox if you sparred with him regularly.
As a side note, amongst my friends it is common practice to apologize after being K.Oed by a Falcon Punch or Gannondorf's Up Tilt. Anybody else do this?
He's from Tally. He's on Smashboards but was last online when he made the account, like......8 months ago hue. I've never fought a Megaman that good so yeah, a valuable learning opportunity there. Aaaaand he doesn't have a Wii U, he plays on his friend's (who is also a Fox main). As for the Falcon punches or Ganon leg explosions, I actually didn't see any landed. Well, there was one falcon punch at 0% so it didn't warrant an apology. Most were simply met with the crowd going "OH SHIT". Also it's pretty funny. There were some black guys who would randomly just get super loud during a friendly match. Well I watched a tournament video from a year ago and saw the same guys going crazy.

I can use reflector against his lemon shooter, but the ending lag of the reflector leaves me wide open for attack if he decides to rush me randomly instead of keep shooting. If I jump over his shots and finally get close to attack he'll usually shield as I come in with an aerial, grab me, or use his leaf blades.
He just has so much coverage and getting in close is the best way, but it's super risky too.

Can't you use the blaster to cancel out any and all of Mega Man's projectiles? Also try to bait the shield so you can grab as soon as you land. Or have a pocket Link for that MU, he has a lot of ranged options and KO potential, and Hylian Shield is pretty much broken if you know how it works.

I did it because there were some members who had said they wanted to watch Deci play, believe it or not, and since Deci is banned until tomorrow night I offered to make a thread about it for him.
