Not even that, I'm not antagonizing anyone I mentioned. None of them have actually done anything bad to me. It's just there seems to be a general comradery, and friendship. It's not that I'm sad to not be apart, but that I feel it isn't right for me to tarnish it. It's not like I have some sort of complex, I just want the community to strive and just be better.

The community won't strive if people feel like the this place it too tightnit to join. If anything, the community will get better as if expands.

Absolutely nothing wrong with taking a break. I think everyone needs a break from the Flood once in a while. Still, just don't go running off for good.

True. The last break I took was about a year long, and that's when my life exploded. Maybe it's the world telling me, "hey, it's time for a change.".

I think I've kind of just accepted the fact that life is a cruel mistress. Sure, it's easier for others, both to those who deserve it and those who don't, but it's all about the luck of the draw. Where you come from, who you know, how much energy you put into things...you can have all, some or even none of those advantages and still wind up on either the top or bottom.

It's forced me to look beyond my small circle, both the friends and family who abandoned me and the ones who are struggling too much themselves to really be able to do anything. As terrible as a few people here are, there's also a lot of really wonderful people too. To a few, I think I can actually credit for keeping me alive. When I first came here I was an absolute wreck on the verge of offing myself, hiding behind the guise of someone who didn't give a f­uck about anything. But after a while, I actually started making friends, and enjoying the forum enough that I wanted to give back to it in the way I could. I started making nameplates, and people liked them. It felt fulfilling. As time went on I eased up more and more, and well, here I am today.

Sometimes I hate being here and other times it's genuinely fun. This place is kind of weird like that.

So I guess what I'm saying is...it is what it is. All we can do is make the best of what life has given us, especially since you never know if it's going to suddenly be ripped away.
