Um...
Nah.
Selfish.
I'm sure people here are more than capable of defending themselves.
You would think.
>internet >can defend themselves adequately
their chances aren't great, but flukes can happen.
Those of us with sturdier frames may survive the initial hit.
Then fight on my friend. You can be the change.

Hell no
If you are a college student you know the cruel reality: it is pretty dang expensive.
An entire year, 2 semesters, is a bit more than $4,000 at my college. People who pay $20,000+ a semester are idiots
And how many government subsidized grants are you taking again?
None
I did jump the gun with my initial response, but their are people who either drop out or fail courses because they party. People already think college is just a 4-year party and this will make it worse
Okay, now, are just talking tuition costs here? How accredited is the school? Are you solely taking the minimum courses for the required credits for your (what I assume is a) two year degree?
You directing the questions to my schooling?
My school is VERY accredited, it's the 2nd biggest community college in the state of Virginia and has articulation agreements with American University, George Mason University, James Madison University, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion, University of Maryland University College, University of Virginia, and Virginia Wesleyan College, and a few others
My degree program is 66 credit hours and have only taken courses that are on my degree plan; I'll probably pay out-of-pocket for other courses like firearms and marksmanship
You want to do police work right?
Yes
I will say having a 2-year degree and wanting to work in local government is the best way to make an impression and get hired. Taking a simple 100 level course has gave me more knowledge than like 80% of officers on the streets, meaning I know more about the law and pose a less litigation risk for the department. On top of that, pay is like an extra $5k a year with a degree
Very nice!

Free, as in, no fees at all? No.
I do support higher taxes to help stymie the cost (At least for public schools)
What fees would you want to see implemented? Like a registration fee, etc?

OP I do the exact same thing. Busy nights drive me crazy, even though the money is good. I get myself in the mindset that "this isn't my career. It's just a job."
Then I'm less worried about it. If I make a mistake, it doesn't hurt like it would if I failed my dream job. Just relax while you can. Kick back and watch tv, eat something, just enjoy your free time.
You wouldn't happen to work at an Italian Restaurant do you? >.>

College is a necessary thing today. You want a high wage job? You need a degree. Well to get a degree, you need to go to college.
If you are a college student you know the cruel reality: it is pretty dang expensive.
Of course you could avoid it and go get a certification. Get put straight to work. But some of those jobs don't have a ladder to climb. It doesn't always work out for those individuals.
Your thoughts?

Haven't read the book, but the movie was great!
The way we win does matter, to me. Especially in the setting of that story.
Spoilers below:
Spoiler Those aliens were trying to colonize, and humanity attacked them. So we really started the conflict. They left and never returned. But what did humanity do, out of fear of an invasion? Destroy their homeworld, and what they believed was their entire species. They didn't attack, they only defended themselves. read the books m80, it's not as simple as that
I basically super-condensed the movie. But yeah there is more to it.

Get Chik-Fil-A.
Get the spicy Sandwich. SO GOOD!
Taco bell has the nickname "Taco Hell" for a reason. Gave me a dang stomach virus for a week. Choose wisely.
Am I the only person to not have any effects from taco bell?
I didn't until then :/ I was extremely angry that day, so it could have been the mix of the food AND my rage. But.........it wrecked me for a week. That's the sickest I've ever been, and I don't want to do it again. I completely quit Taco Bell
